Company drivers are fully reimbursed, lease drivers find that they've been reimbursed but its as taxible income. Darn that taxman!
-
What if you dont have all that cash on you? How you get a comcheck?
-
You have to cash a comchek before you unload, then turn in reciepts for it not to be charge against you.
-
Have truck drivers ever been denied the right to unload their own trucks?
One often hears about truck drivers who do not unload their own trucks? -
Often Hear? Step into my truck and you will defiantly SEE a driver who does not unload his own truck.

You get blanks at the terminal, or ask another Prime driver. Sometimes you can talk a truckstop clerk into giving you one.
Why??? It's not worth the trouble, unless you're dealing with a pallet or two and you're on a tight schedule. -
Do you get approved for a certain amount ? How do u know how much u can make check out for?
-
Well... you can get it approved for however much you think you can con your dispatcher in letting you have! However, you'll get it charged against your settlement, so it's not like you get the keys to the Federal Reserve Bank. Generally you make them out for whatever you have to pay for on the road. This morning in LA, it's $100 to get unloaded at my first stop, so that Comcheck is made out for $100 - and I'll get reimbursed for that amount. Living of advances against your settlement is unwise.
