    Squeak,

    Had I known you were there I might have stopped. I'm at the brand new Loves @ exit 213 off of I-30 in Texas, about 56 miles southwest of Prescott.

    When I got up this morning I did a Mac 30 and the 1st offering was a load that picked up in Paducah, KY this morning and delivers in Laredo (across the street from the terminal) Friday morning. 23,000 lbs in the box, 2 year old trailer with skirts, and I'm getting 8.8 MPG.

    O/Os get paid more for anything less than 800 miles. Peaks @ $2.35 per mile under 50 miles.

    Mt = empty.
    The empty trailer to be used for a live load, or dropped when you pick up a full one.

    I am in Prescott every day and go by that Loves twice a day. Looks to be a bigger lot than most. It's been open a month or so now, but I haven't been in, no need to really.

    Been bouncing around TX for the past week.
    I finally got a load to LA, but the next one brought me back to Houston.
    So here I sit at the Loves by the terminal.

    Luckily I got a load out tomorrow going to MO.
    Now I just need an mt, since my last load was to pick up a Xtra lease trailer at a Walmart in LA and ferry it back here.

    By Loves standards it's one of their larger truck stops. Been open since Nov 15th, has both a McDs and a Subway.

    At the Laredo terminal. MTed out early. Fewest bobtails I've ever seen here.

    Since it looks like I've already "broke even" for the week (on the first day!) I'm gonna be picky and wait til what I want (for a load) presents itself.

    I emptied out yesterday in south Chicago and went about 40 miles to the truck stop I like. The one load offer that came through was 200 some miles and 24 hours to deliver. Replied N but they wanted a reason before they would pull it. I was thinking, 'isn't it obvious?' lol. Several other load offers came through none of which piqued my interest and a couple that were crackpipe like run 800 miles over night in an 11 hour shift- or way too much deadhead- like this one....

    But the good news is that yesterday Abby and I walked 17 miles and today 18 so far and the day is not over yet. I expect sleep well tonight, last night not so much, CR England made a spot next to me with his reefer in my head all night.
