4 new batteries (AGM glass mat,) new altenator, and a load test on the old ones ran me $980 last summer. Most everything else has been warranty. 4 drives (Michelin X-One XDA wide singles) and 4 Centramatics ran about $4025 with my corporate discount last spring. PMs are generally something posted on truckstop chain websites.

Kingpins, steers and a 3-axle, $2600. I got lucky I didn't need a new axle.
Exhaust manifold gasket - $1000
Several broken wires on the APU, after 6 hours of working on a system I wasn't totally familiar with, it went to Thermo-King. $1000. Turns out it was 5 broken wires/grounds as well as a bad main engine switch at the APU. They also installed all 4 new motor mounts, generator belt, idler pulley and waterpump belt.
Set of Produce vents from Utility for hauling taters and onions on the van. At least it will be ready for the 1013's come March. $430
set of new trailer recaps, left front, $325 for a pair.
Delta P sensor (EGR pressure differential), also got a dyno run out of the shop for it. $363. Showed I was putting 450HP to the ground at 1500 RPM. Also picked up 2 new fuel filters at the time.
oil changes at 15,000 miles along with coolant and oil analysis. $310 I have a local guy doing them for me. as much because I don't have a nice way to handle all the oil, plus I WANT an extra set of eyes looking at the truck for me.
Air desiccant cartridge and purge valve. $165. Spin on cartridge. Had to buy a $30 pair of pliers to do it though. Big ### channel locks for taking filters off.socal Thanks this. -
Just think of it as your patriotic duty to support the economy!
chalupa Thanks this. -
Where are you guys getting these cheap batteries? I had mine load tested at the T/A the guy gave me a report they are 900 CCA but 3 of them are in the 600's and one was 400 some-odd, he quoted me $187 each for 4 new batteries. Since the truck starts fine every time I thought to wait and shop around.
Had a check engine light last week, went to another T/A again and had them plug their gizmo in, $42 bucks she said. The tech who did the plugging in, was arguing with her that it should be $85 bucks. I was like 'dude, there's another truck in your garage out there?'
I've got those little underdash lights (red) that are very cool at night, well one of them burned out, this morning I went in and bought 2 more (of course they come in 2 packs) the 914 long life little itty bitty light bulbs, $2.69 -- outrageous!!
Earlier in the summer, 10 new tires-- centramatics on steers (already had them on drives from last year) new DPF filter, EGR cooler, 7th injector and a couple sensors. Oil changes of course, DOT inspections every 90 days and a crankcase filter. I had the oil changed at the Pueblo CO Rush Petersuck and had them do the crankcase there. They didn't have it in stock, but didn't tell me that. They just charged $385 bucks for the 2 guys to drive across town to the Kenworth store to get it and come back via the strip bar at their shop rate times 2. That little job cost me $770 bucks.socal Thanks this. -
oh, forgot about this nice little expense yesterday.
That's the fuel filter on my truck. See that LEEETLE black cap on the very top. Those wings like to break off. when they brake off enough, you have to replace that cap. Partly from over-tightening. Davco redesigned that cap too. It's like a gas cap now. clicker to limit torque. Can't complain about that part. You can take it off with your fingers now.

That stupid cap though cost me $43.Mommas_money_maker, milskired and socal Thank this. -
Recently...: 3 new batteries from Rural King $99/per. 8 new General drive tires $3,785. Had some odds and ends done under the hood several months ago to the tune of about $1,800: replace injector, coolant pass-thru between heads (N14), fan hub/clutch, all new belts, install load lights (not 4" rounds, but implement lights) on the top back of cab. I had my clutch adjusted a couple months ago and was informed that (allegedly) it's the last time it can be adjusted...truck has 685,000 miles and is on the original so I'd assume he's about right. Oil changes at local Sapp Bros run about $230 for their PM special: change oil, filters, check/top off boxes, grease truck/trailer, oil sample AND they actually check things out. My flatbed is going to need a new set of skins soon..........aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan den?!
BigBadBill and socal Thank this.
