Was he a tall skinny lanky dude? That guy was bragging about putting 4 one ounce 'stick on' tire balancing weights on a lease operator's driveline which destroyed the transmisson and differentials within 500 miles of Memphis, Mr. Passiveagressive did this because the lease operator staying near his truck in the shop the whole time instead of going to the driver's lounge.
Georgia, thinking about my next move. -
Wow thats pretty messed up..... Its kinda like having to be nice at the drive through so they dont spit on your burger??
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Osceola, IA, enrte to Grand Prairie, TX. Think that I missed the worst of the storm. Got south of Des Moines as it was starting. Now here, just rain and wind. What a day of pplans. PTA of 1300 with 7 avail, sent a pplan, dh 80 miles to pu going 290, del by 2000, and mostly all two lane, West Branch, IA to Menominie and with the storm comming through. Sent back no, 0800 tomorrow, removed. Ran into a driver at Family Dollar, he was sent the same one, del 1700 tomorrow now. Then a dog food, pu at 2200. About 2 hours past my 14, and 45.5K. Run all night and get it to Wal-Mart tomorrow by 1000 in Grove City, nope, not happening, then another one, dh 130 miles west in IA, pu loaded trailer, 8k, and run it back in the winds and snow back to Grove city by Friday morning. Told that planners thanks for trying to get me home on time, but please, I am L/O and would like some miles before I get home Sunday, so then this pplan. PU Cedar Rapids, and take to Grand Prairie. I have a feeling since they gave me this one, they have something that will be there on Friday.

Bever UT, gonna idle all night... It's cold out, last thing I want is the truck to not start in the morning!
-
As long as you're above 5* you should be ok ... what you don't want to do is set your trailer brakes ... crawling under a trailer to bang on the brakes to break them loose is no fun.
Port Allen, deliver over in Baton rouge in the AM then come back and P/U in the PM. ... But I'll go by and drop my trailer and see if our favorite Port Allen shipper might have the load ready ... lol -
It's already 10* out at 1830, clear night... So, it may just reach that goal!

Parowan, UT at the TA, third time in 7 days. It is seriously COLD out there! Saw as low as -9 between I-70 and here, was 4 degrees when I parked.
Had a nasty drive from Salt Lake to Grand Junction, I-70 was actually worse than US-6 from I-15 to I-70. Utah didn't bother trying to plow I-70 the last 50 miles before Colorado, conditions were actually worse in CO because they had plowed. Had to take my 10 at the Sam's Club as I got there with 15 mins left on my 14.
Lucked into an MT beer can load that somebody dropped at the insulation factory in Fruita. Only catch was getting the planner to fix the delivery appointment, was scheduled for tomorrow morning (in Commerce, CA) for 5:00 am, I wouldn't touch it til they changed it to Friday @ 8:00 am.
Decided that if I don't have a load to Phoenix (from SoCal) by early Friday afternoon that I'll bobtail home Saturday morning. NO WAY am I gonna deal with Friday/holiday traffic out of the LA basin.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Looks like we passed each other today! It is cold. My truck has been running for four hours and it is about 50 degrees inside... Wish the Wasbosto heater worked while the truck is running...

I was stuck in Salt Lake for nearly 4 days because I needed a b service.
Finally got it done on Tuesday, then sat the rest of the day waiting for a plan.
I went in and asked this morning, only to find out my PTA had been set way out. It was reset and I had a plan before I got back to my truck.
A Costco load headed for Westminster, CO - to get me to my home time.
When I checked the weather I didn't think I would make it, since it delivered tonight. There was a big storm covering Denver and up through Cheyenne and Laramie.
Salt Lake was clear as a bell, and I headed out.
It stayed clear the whole way, with only a few sections of the roads that were a bit icy.
So I made my delivery on time.
I've got another plan before I can take my ht in Denver. Pick up a live load at 1100 in Aurora and t-call it at the Denver terminal on the 20th - my requested home time date.
It's been at least 6 months since I've had to remind the planners about a home time request.
They seem to always get me there right on time now.
So I'm camping here at the Costco tonight, along with 2 other Swifties.
