Unloaded this morning, and I went on safety hold yesterday for not getting the sim class in time.
But my DM got me a load to Phoenix so I could get the class.
It picks up tomorrow evening, preloaded, and delivers Sunday morning a 0500 - live unload.
Then I get to wait around until Monday for the class.
This week is going to suck for miles.

 

Made a live unload delivery Christmas Eve eve, but no one was there to unload it, guard said drop it and no empties. Of course that created the usual problems with empty call but got that resolved and retreated back to a truck stop nearby expecting my next preplan to be removed because both the pickup times and delivery times had expired.

About 12 hours later I received a trailer solution. I was in the middle of doing a couple loads of laundry and was on the way for a shower and big fat sit down breakfast. So I got all that done then started receiving panic messages that it was critical that I go get this load and deliver it by 2200. I was like 'what load?' The load I had accepted 2 days prior lol.

Well I got the load there about midnight Christmas Eve, but the distribution center was closed, the note said since 1700 that day. So I went to the truck stop around the corner and sent that message. Next morning got some testy messages asking whether I spoke to the guard and such, I just told them to refer to my previous message that the gate was wrapped with a large chain and a note on guard shack. So when my 34 was complete the morning after Christmas I made the delivery and went back to the truck stop for another day off as the snow and conditions were crazy. Was awarded a big fat service failure too.

 

And I hope you tell them where they can put their service failure!

 

I think planners just get desperate this time of year(between holidays)...so they plead and beg...also threaten....bargain...whatever they have to do to get people to take loads...i got like 10 preplans for loads AFTER i sent a note say that after my delivery was changing my pta....due to the fact that it wasnt safe to go ANYWHERE with an mt trl in a blizzard(so central indiana yesterday)....and i know it was one planner pushing out as many preplans as possible coz....after 5 pm....nothing....lol...that or they finally got message....DUH!....there is a blizzard!!!!!!....

You expected it to be removed, but it wasn't.
Then you acted as though it had been.

 

Well, if the trucks can't move safely, neither can the freight.
Tough luck for planners, and everyone else for that matter.
