And when you work for a company you're happy with, it isn't hard to let people know about it. Sometimes having a little company pride makes the whole company image improve. If you drive by a Crete/Shaffer truck, look to see how many of our drivers are smiling ..then look at Poly trucks...a totally different picture.jdrentzjr Thanks this.

Well 11,118 miles for December on 9 trips. I am still on the 9th trip that delivers to New Hampshire on the 2nd. With the total miles left on that one my average trip miles is over 1300+ which is pretty sweet. Sitting at home until the 1st so got a pleasant 5 day respite from the road which I needed after being out about 7 weeks. Got the wood stove fired up and some food marinating for the grill.

JD i gather you're spot on. Even with those dumb little attention lapses that drive safety nuts , "all at low speed , with little damage" nothing reportable or CSA qualifying , I still will be headin down there the 6th of Jan. Chemster and yourself , know if I get this job I'll be looking to treat ya both to a nice dinner , after a couple checks. I really appreciate you guys sharing the nice "and" not so nice here . I'm really counting my blessings right now , and you 2 are among them , it's been way too long since Jevic went under. The really good companies are just so hard to get leads on these days , as you said , sold the bait and switch , has drivers jumping from the pan right into the flames so often.

Hey JD , seeing how you frequent the upper NW , I must ask , do you use those chains , it would be a silly question to ask if you carry them , I know the answer is yes , but do you sling those things ?

I applied to poly aprox 3 weeks ago, but haven't heard from them about my app. I have even called twice to check on app. but still no call back. Is this the norm for them when it comes to hiring.

Or like me the Blue side of Crete even as I drive a red one. Been 5th wheel problems lately sitting in Canton OH at Young frtlnr til they find out why my 37000lb ld left the 5th wheel today in Massillon , no big deal just a lot of cranking , tug test and visual showed the jaw was in place then boom 100 ft from where i hooked. I was goin slow enough that it didn't rip the lines off , still I'm uneasy about putting the thing on the big road to hit Allentown so i put it out of service.

Thanks elsriver , it's all these type comments on Poly that really is a breath of fresh air , in a not so driver friendly industry. I'm trying not to get too excited cause it's only the face to face I'm gonna be heading to , but gosh I'm excited !
