I went to Heartland three months ago,on day two of orientation signing all the paper work there is a section you have to sign stating you can safely lift and drag 100lbs with no limitation I told them I cannot do that since I had two hernias. Also as far as there trucks they are all prostars and no room for you to put stuff JUST ONE CABINET and some kind of COMpartment that will hold NOTHING. Also has no Bunk heaters you have to Idle.Glad I didnot take the position.
Heartland needs to be in the BAD company list

Nope, almost impossible to get layover. Detention is rare to get also. But I am detained at shippers/ receivers for more than 2 hours, maybe once per week. And really it is more like once per two or three weeks with the lanes I run.
The idle restrictions are from 40-75 or so. The program has been fixed now on the cummins trucks. So that idle above or below that does not count at all. And the max drop in speed is down to 62 now on all trucks. Still waiting for the full new program on the max force trucks. But the limit has been changed to 62 as lowest.
I am home every weekend for more than a restart. Most of the people in my region (Ohio) are home every weekend. But some for as little as 36 hours.
Max time out for my region, unless requested is 2 weeks. Then they automatically send you home.
If you want to be home for 4+ days you will probably have to bring truck to a terminal. This is due to some idiots that like to quit while on home time or vacation, and make the company come and get the truck. Also because they own their trucks and do not lease them, they do not have many spare trucks. So cannot afford to have them sitting and not making money for more than 3 days. Heck, if I owned a 100k dollar piece of equipment I would not want it sitting either.BigMuthaTrucka and BubbaTrucker Thank this. -
The Prostar limiteds we had did have limited space for storage. Had a deep shelf on each side which worked well for folded clothing. 3 closing almost like drawers, but did not pull out on one side, one on the other side. That closet type thing on the back wall that was useless. And the closet/ refrigerator cabinet, with the drawer and slide out desk thing on the pass side. Nothing on the drivers side.
The max force trucks have allot more storage. Has the closet behind drivers seat. Allot more storage up top. And they got rid of that thing on the back wall, so you can sit on the bed with your back to the wall now. If you really want to watch TV. I like the setup better now.
They are all single bunk trucks, unless you are a team. So no top bunk to put things on. But for 2 weeks out they have plenty of room.
No bunk heaters or anything on the older ones. Newer ones have bunk heaters. No APUs at all.
Never touched anything that weighed over 100 lbs.....wait. I did help pull out water pallets and paper pallets at Staples before. Did not think the pretty lady on the dock needed to do all the work.
