Having been on medical leave for the past few months, I didn't know jack about the merger until yesterday when a rep from Arnold called me about getting signed up with benefits. The more I've learned about Arnold, and the good stuff I've experienced with Link, I suppose I'm a little excited about getting back on the road. It will be nice to be in a newer truck, pulling a trailer that isn't falling apart.
I don't know what all changes it will mean for Link's SW fleet (the fleet I was with), but as long as I can keep my pay and miles, I'll be fine with it. ANd if it means I will be running to the SE a little more, I'm okay with that. I have family all over the SE, so I might get to see them some more.
I saw somewhere that Arnold allowed pets...hope they still do. I want to bring my road dog with me. -
Will we get more miles and load planners and fm that know wtf there doing now ? I been with arnold for 9 months and has been a nightmare.haven't got over 1800 miles in 3 months and it isn't fm cause i switched a couple already.they are the most unorganized outfit I've ever seen.i heard they were a great company before usx bought them out.but nowi hear that arnold bought back some of arnold from usx-my question and concern did they buy enough back ??oh well guess its time to move on.take care yall

Does anyone know how this affects training and whatnot on the Arnold side?

Nothing is changing on the Arnold side, just Link

So far for me it's been bad. Truck broke down in the midst of the merger and i kind of had to jump thru hoops to get $ for hotel. Then on Monday shop guy says they couldn't get the ok to repair truck b/c they had no knowledge of me being there. Finally jus left CO last night to get a ld in Amarillo only for an Arnold driver to had already taken it.

That's always the problem with mergers. Lack of communication between the companies.PST/USX was the same way.
-
Communication gets better daily. One of the bigger issues of integrating the peoplenet to their systems seems to have been fixed. The ones in the merger who were assigned Arnold dispatchers seem to be flowing smoothly. The ones of us who maintained Link dispatchers have it a little rougher because they are Learning the new system and its all 100% different.

USX driver here,
Heading to the Jacksonville yard to get my truck fixed. Going to be interesting to see if there are any link guys there. I'll actually love to keep reading these updates about how well y'all transition to Arnold. Please keep us posted!
