    Care to enlighten us further?

I'm in Ft. Stockton, TX. I have a 1300 delivery in San Antonio tomorrow, followed by a load into OK the next day.

When I picked up during the day with a window the load was ready when I arrived. The day crew was helpful and friendly.

When I arrived to pick up the nighttime appointment load I was told (at 11:00 pm) "Your load won't be ready til 11:30, drop your trailer then get off the property" At 11:30 I was told "We're still waiting for the paperwork, go away until you see a golf cart". Said golf cart did not arrive until midnight. Night crew was rude to the point of insulting and not the least bit helpful.

The saving grace was the Petro 1/2 mile away. Place is HUGE and still had plenty of parking when I returned after midnight to finish my split.

I'd go back for another daytime pickup with a window, nighttime with an appointment, probably not.

Parked on the street just outside the Denver terminal. I deliver @ 11:00 am tomorrow. First Mac 30 had nadda, didn't really expect anything @ 5:30 pm. Hopefully tomorrow morning will be better, I DO NOT want to double back here after I deliver.

Got a load out of Chicago going to Waterloo Iowa yesterday, they sent me another preplan to pick up a load at the same place and turn and burn back for Chicago that evening. I didn't think I could get it done in that time so turned it down. Got chastised by my DM, but was vindicated when I made my delivery and had only 3.5 hours left on the 14. So they got me another load going to OK City.

Just crossed the OK border and got pulled into the scales and directed to pull around back and bring in all papers. The back lot was overflowing with parked trucks, every single one of us (I imagine this happened all day long) were required to post $175 bond before we were allowed to leave (this was only for the drivers that the OKDOT found something wrong on, and they found something wrong with everyone, believe me)-- the one driver I talked to parked next to me got pinched because the registration for the truck says Company Name Inc but the decal just says Company Name-- pay up sucka!
In my case, they got me for Leased to Swift being not in a contrasting color to the truck.

I whipped out my plastic to pay the bond, he said, no Swift has to pay this. So I made a phone call and they said 'OK it's done' and momentarily I saw a message had been sent that they put an Advance on my fuel card. Whatever so I wrote a comcheck against the amount and gave it to the guy, who wanted a PO number to prove the money is Swift's not mine. Some more phone calls, no joy. I finally told the guy Swift advanced the money to my fuel card, the money is on the check that's all I know. I also told him I planned on staying the night out back, he said they lock the place down soon and no one can stay lol. I thought that was funny because the first words he told me when I walked in earlier was that I couldn't leave til this $175 bond was posted.

Edit, I wanted to add, I have been to several terminals over the past few months trying to get those Operated by Swift Transportation decals for my truck. I've been to my home terminal, Lathrop, Greer, Decatur, Houston, Manteno, Memphis, Phoenix and SLC asking about them. Some of the places I went to simply acted like they had no clue what language I was speaking and some of the others said check with the shop. Check with the shop, they say check with the office.

Well, yet another reason not to go L/O.

Just curious, but what color is the decal and truck that it is non-contrasting?

scottie ... they only said they were at the Phoenix term ...I suspect you can get them at the RR window ... also you are only supposed to have the "Operated" by when putting your own company name on the truck .... but then again the whole thing is about as clear as mud.

MN ... drop tomorrow, then load for PA.
