Idaho falls . Was a slow and steady type of day today. Ran all day in the snow and wind from Miles City across to Bozeman Montana. Then came down the 191 through West Yellowstone . Wasn't particularly bad conditions just required taking it a bit easier than usual. Still makes for a long day without covering much distance for the time.

Today was rather nice for a Friday. Started with a pickup truck run to Barker Cypress Rd. to get a pallet and take it to SDV. Did a total of 9 delivery tickets.

Got a call soon after sending my last delivery. To my utter surprise I was told I was done and could drop the trailer and head home.

Dinner and two TV shows which have me scratching my head. Two and Half Men was weird.
And Person of Interest had more twists than a Formula One track!

Today I drove dad's 4 wheeler to a small town about 1 hr south of here... The name of the town is Ipueiras... northwest of the state of Ceará in Brasil.

Drove around this little town, trying to find a place with no address and no directions which wasn't in any map... a clinic that looked like a regular house, with no sign in front, in a street that nobody new... :biggrin_2552: Stopped a few times to ask folks... Thankfully this was a small town and I didn't take too long to find the place...

Maybe this weekend will go back there, trying to meet someone who lives in the middle of really nowhere in the back lands where there is no vehicle road, just a dirt road for horse and buggy...

I think SDV is some little rag-tag company, that provides freight forwarding, transportation, and logistic services, world wide. In other words, not a small company by no means.

Home for the weekend, which started early. Delivered a load to Lawrence again, made about the 3rd one this week. Weather had a lot to do with it. Lyons salt was very busy this week. Started out taking about 3-4 hrs to get loaded, and then yesterday since we had warm weather, only 30 mins.

Thursday I totaled one of my hearing aids. The sleeper curtain caught it and it broke. So now I have to get it replaced. DOT med card says I must. No biggie, just going to set me back about $5,200. That's the cheap ones too. You would think for that price, they would come with 7.1 Dolby surround, Sirius Radio, free 4G phone service, AM-FM, DVD. Nope, just get the normal, being able to hear all the B.S. with more clarity. I will have to say though they have come a long way in the last ten years. These will be dirt and water resistant, echo block, wind-block, and several others. It's really crap, when insurance will cover eyeglasses, but so far I have not found any insurance that covers hearing, or hearing aids. Also before they will order the hearing-aids, they require payment in full up front. So Monday morning I go to the ear-doc to get fitted for the ear molds, and to have the aids ordered.

Wife called me very early Friday morning. Knew something was up, because she's never up at that time of the morning. She's got the flu, really bad. So I call my dispatcher first thing to let him know, and that I request to deliver the load, then head in. No problem. The only thing I'm concerned about is getting it too. So far, so good. This flu bug has a 2-5 day duration. All the nastiness, fever, vomiting, headaches, and diarrhea.
