LTL drivers generally get home nightly and dont touch freight. Try Fed Ex Freight, Old Dominion, Dayton, Holland, ABF, etc. You gotta have your hazmat though.

Wow. Don't think I could have given up that kind of gravy!? You'll have a hard time finding that kind of gig again. Good luck!

something to keep in mind when your looking for local or regional driving jobs is there is no job security in these types of jobs unless you are driving for the same company that makes the product your hauling most all of this kind of work is done on contract basis and belive me when company looses contract you the last person to know but you should be looking some where like coke or pepsi or any company around that hauls ther own product hope this helps

What company are you working for we're the pay is about the same hands down intermodal you defiantly make more go with that if you want to be home with no touch freight

Try Garner Transportation in Findlay, OH. They get you home for your 34 and thats usually on the weekends. They are a regional carrier and when you get the chance you can take your 10 at home. Primarily they run MI,OH,IL,WI,IN

JB Hunt DVD regional accounts in your area will get you home every weekend. - Chew2

Rl carriers. You will get home every day doing linehaul but have to start at bottom on seniority for a set bid. But if you get open board you can make some good dough. Wife and I team here and make 90k each and home 2 full days.

Definitely try LTL before bottom feeders like JB Hunt. If you are linehaul you will be home daily most likely. If you are local you will be home nights but you will earn your money. I take home around $1000 after taxes in my LTL job working around 40 a week. You won't see that with JB Hunt.
cranow12 Thanks this.
