Get the permit ($45 for a full year?). Once you get into Idaho north of I-84, tandoms all the way forward, you can be 37250 on tandoms (I think, double check with permit people) US 95 is one of the most scenic rides in the country.... also plan 6 hours for the 200 miles from I-84 to Lewiston...

Swift Company policy, no trucks on US 12 between Missoula, MT and Lewiston. Too many "drivers" finished their time at Swift in the Clearwater River.... So, US-95 from the south, need permit for off-tracking, US-95 from the North no restrictions or US 195 From Spokane, or US 12 from the West, Tri-Cities.

Yes but they seem to act all bent out of shape every time I ask if there is a window. I need to know this information to better run my business. Example, other day had a load, 261 miles out, pick up at O700, drop hook into another loaded one and turn and burn back 261 miles but deliver live unload at 1900. I liked it because it was 0 miles deadhead but they couldn't answer me in time I turned it down saying it pushed too close to the 14 hour clock (started at 0600). But if I knew it could deliver the next morning or something I would have been down for that, instead had to deadhead 121 miles for my next load.
No they inform over the phone for these drug tests. Something new (to me) is they read off a whole deal about it first. Used to be they just told you to go to a place (we all knew what it was for, after all they are calling it a clinic) but they could not legally tell you what the purpose of going there was for.
Will Swift work with you on the payments? What about the loaner program, is that an option? What exactly is wrong with the truck and how did you find out about it? Is it something we should be looking out for on our trucks out here as well?
Homeward bound out of Chicago to California Norte. -
Agreed on the time, its slow going but what a view used to drive it as a co. driver all the time now as a L/O I will just drive through Walla Walla since we can't take lolo pass, I wish we could loved driving that road.
Wow I am shock your still in the shop blsqeak also, what happened to your truck? Hopefully it gets out sooner than later yikes.
Currently sitting at a pilot around lexington Ky, so far only pplains offered where 45000lbs with 200mt miles and 890 paid overnighted to dallas, passed on those. -
I know, I used it (Mac 34) to bump my PTA so I could look for loads sooner.

I got mine for free just by asking for it. Used it twice so far, scale house guy asked to see it the last time I went north on 95.
As for hwy 12 (Lolo Pass), it's a great motorcycle road. Any road I enjoy on the motorcycle is one to avoid with the truck. -
It is a drive line issue. They are only allowed 12/100th for free play in it. Mine was 24/100th. It was found on my last DOT inspection. It is a part that is not kept in KW parts department. It has to be ordered and then made and shipped. That is what is taking it so long. Luckily Swift is going to work with me on the payments for this. Last I heard, best case scenario, Friday afternoon, worst case, Tuesday morning.
