Worst truck stop you have been to

I know;right? If only they were better looking.. j/k Really though that's why I've been hangin out where I delivered the other day here in Stockton. Plenty of room and peace & quiet. The "J" down the road does not interest me either. Maybe I was a claustrophobic sardine in a can in a different life.

That was the Walt Whitman in Philly but it has since closed...so sad.

 

So many dumps to chose from. The Pilot in Charlotte,NC has to rank in the top 5, as does truckers Paradise in Orlando. Not a good place in Atlanta that I can think of. Gary,IN T/A, the Go Mart in Charleston,WV, the Pilot at Troutville,VA, as a matter of fact, most Pilots suck..as do the old 76's that still survive...that dump of one in Joliet,Il and the one at Blytheville,CA...but even the ones TA took over suck.

 

How could I forget this place??? I spent the night there about 6 months ago. Have some great footage of the crack ###### I posted on youtube...

 

Another fabulous spot is the 24/7 just north of that dump Bruces in Bakersfield. It makes Bruces look like the Taj Mahal. The Vanco in Stockton,CA and the TA in Edinburg,TX..oh lets not forget the Loves or the Keys in Houston. Tacoma used to have a really dumpy flyin hook but haven't been up there in years. Columbia,SC area doesn't have a decent place. The Florence,SC TA that locks the doors at night. Neither TA near Jacksonville,FL is worth stopping at...man I could go on for hours.

 

Luckily that Pilot has been closed for a few years now. Really says a lot about the area when a company like Pilot just pulls out and leaves the. That place was a hood rat infested dump and I am glad it's gone.

 

The 76 in Ontario? Hasn't been a 76 in years. For those not in the know, it's now a T/A. You have a choice at Milliken Ave in Ontario, the T/A east or the T/A west.

 

the pilot on I-85 exit 39? It might have closed but if so its been less than 3 months. You might be thinking of the old 77, Jake's Redball at Sunset.
