Not hard to do. First look at the ink, is it the same as the printer, or different? Second, compare it to another example, like the previous day's log,is it exactly in the same place and is it exactly the same, overall? Nobody signs their own signature exactly the same, time after time, after time. There is always some very minor difference.

thats why i asked the other question, my signature is consistent enough that a handwriting xpert would be called in, lol.
but the reason i asked who else used one of these was this exact reason, the digital signature is not a simple point and click deal that places it in exactly the same spot, you have to left click the mouse then drag the signature , thus you can vary the starting angle, width length, placement etc. you can place a signature anywhere on the document.
with all the court rulings backing up aceptance of these signatures( ever signed a digital sig at pilot or a j?) it wouldnt be a hard deal beat the rap.
all i have to furnish is a copy of my logs, i am not required to produce the original. as i said the interpretations are 10 years old on this, to much case law on this since thn. -
Argue until the moon turns blue. I don't care. The reg and interpretation are what they are and if you get nailed for violation of it, I am not liable and you are, for the citation and the CSA points.
-
yep, just as i have always done , but then i have never had a log violation from a officer ,scale or roadside inspection. as someone said its all in the presentation.

and i am not arguing, just stating how i look at it, you happen to look at it differently. so far in a year of eclipse, mercer is happy, 3 state dot were happy. i aint messing up a good thing -
What is the diffrence using a qualcomm for logs? I never had to sign anything, what is the diffrence.
Clasix1055 Thanks this. -
Excellent point.
Maybe someone should start a new thread
-
Qualcomm is Electronic Log and you are identified by having to use a username and password that is particular to you. Eclipse and Driver's Daily Log are not Electronic Logs, but they are software programs used on computers to replicate RODS and must be printed on paper and signed each day.rickybobby Thanks this.
