Depends on where you live. I personally like flatbed over linehaul.
-
Go LTL linehauls if you can. Can't beat the pay/hometime.

Based out of Southern California, I heard tmc flat bed was a good strong company, but I don't think they are based out of the west
-
I also heard this too, what do you think of saia? Or I heard old dominion was good tooChinatown Thanks this.

If you have tanker/hazmat endorsements you can try A&R Transport. They may bend the rules on 36 mos. experience. Pay is good, $62K + per year. Check Careerbuilder and Indeed websites.
System Transport has flatbed & good reputation.Lbcdiesel Thanks this. -
Can't say anything about Saia. I work for another one of the big LTL carriers. They start us at 41 cpm and then $16 an hour if we break down or wait on trailers. 95% of our runs are drop and hook. We start out at our home terminal and shuttle trailers back and forth from nearby cities over the night. We usually average between 350 to 550 miles a night. That is about $150 to $250 a night. We are off at home during the day, off weekends, paid holidays, and got awesome benefits.

I used to work for TMC. I really liked them in a lot of ways. But it seemed South Dakota was too far west for them. Unless they have changed the hiring area a lot since I was there, they wont hire out there.

Old Dominion is good. YRC/Reddaway are awesome... FedEx is really good too... But hard to get on board with. I hear a lot of great things about Conway as well. They all have pretty much the same job description.

They have any openings in California? Is that dryvan?
