It is all dry van. Reddaway has lots of openings in California. You do need HazMat, tankers, and double endorsements. I would look into it. Look into linehauls. Local P&D can be rough, and they work super long hours. Plus they deal with city traffic. That is just my preference.

I heard they have a newer terminal in Iowa? Or Idaho? One of the two I think

Yup. Pocatello and Boise have em. Wouldn't call them new. Look them up on Facebook. They are constantly posting job openings there. You should also try the Transportation section of Craigs List, that is how I got my job. Base bottom pay for us is $39k a year, but we easily clear closer to $50k.

I would start looking into it right about now. Things start picking up the first week of March. Don't be surprised if you will see more postings by a lot of LTL carriers at that time. I was hired on around that time last year. Also check with Sysco and Food Services of America. They do the same thing pulling refer trailers.

If you want a not to stress full job try pulling hoppers.
    I enjoy it.
No real deadlines, lots of miles and home every weekend.
We have guys working for us from all around the globe.
A lot from MT "I am from MT" and Idaho as well.
You drive hwy as well as back dirt roads and not a lot of city driving.
They pay is decent and the work is not to hard.

Yeah, that is one thing about LTL. You are always under pressure to go. you get your trailers and you get to your next terminal as fast and safely as possible. I enjoy it though. Most of my runs are only three hours each way.
