The inbetween parts on getting a truck, or just in general suck. Cabs and bus rides suck, though it beats walking.

I'm surprised you went back. I'll never go back haha... I am thinking of getting back into general freight or doing flatbed. I have a few companies in mind that are either completely local or home every weekend (if wanted).

The Bus ride sucked! When I talked to recruiting i told them right off the bat that if i was coming back i was not going to except a automatic they almost put me into one they looked at notes and did see they said to put me into a 10 speed!

GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Keep up the good work roadtrucker.See he's proof these starter companies keep you running. You just have to prove yourself to your dispatcher before he/she gives you the miles.

Well i can say yes USA has some ups and downs as you know but i guess i lucked out got a really good FM he is just like my old fm that is not a fm but load coordinator now! What I can tell he does not BS you and is straight up

I wish you the best of luck. I have been saying for the last 5 months at least that USA has been improving. The miles are here and you can make some money if you are willing to hustle and not complain at every little thing that doesn't go your way. I have an awesome FM and we get along great. Unfortunately this is going to be my last week here at USA. I was called by a guy where I live about driving his big trucks on his farm. Seeing as I have all my endorsements, I will be able to haul everything for him. He asked me what it would take to get me off the road. I shot him a number and he took it. Kinda surprised he did. I am leaving on good terms and if things didn't work out, I would have no problem coming back. I wish everyone here safe travels and many miles.

Good luck Sarge! Yes I agree with you about things are getting better there the 3 weeks out i was getting any where from 2800 to 3100 each week running and taking the loads was nice to be in the south with the warm weather and not the snow! Just waiting to see where i am going tomorrow after my home time! Again good luck in your new job

hey Sarge...did you get your refund? A buddy of mine, that went to Future Truckers, finished his year up there and didn't get anything back! It was told/said in contract we'd get around 1200-1500 back and they told him he doesn't get ANYTHING! Boy is he pissed! But he paid off his cdl, is really broke, and looking for something else.....but congrats on your new gig! Keep us informed!

You only get back whatever you paid extra. If your contract says you have to pay $1995 for the CDL School and they take $2200 out of your pay throughout the year, then you get back $205 at the end of your contract. I did get back the extra amount I paid at the end of my contract. The week I received my CDL School Certificate of Completion I took my vacation then quit. A week or two later I received the money I paid extra.
