yeah...Link America is now owned by Arnold! Wonder how long before USA is now bought out. We ALL know Celadon didn't happen, duh, but let the stock rise a little then we'll see!
I liked the part where it said Cliff blows donkeys! lol
I really liked the part, in that article, where it said Cliff likes blowing donkeys! haha![]()

At this point I don't see this move changing a thing...a dollar short and a day late. They simply don't know how to stop using the credit card or have the will to treat their drivers right. For me it has always been desired to get decent miles, have good equipment and a good home time policy. They fail at all three. And they're still chasing the short miles while at the same time trying to convince the driver that they're not short. 200 mile loads that can't deliver for 24 hrs ARE short miles.

My theory has always been that Cliff didn't want to talk to celedon because then he would be the one to blame for the demise of USA truck, because he is of course. With the new CEO now they can think objectively about any take over bids. In the PR newswire article is says "We are excited that Cliff Beckham has agreed to return to the CFO position". To some this may not sound significant but the word "agreed" shows that it was a political and most likely a forced transition. Yes Cliff didn't have a choice.

There was no buyout... To be technical, Arnold was the one "bought out" and the companies were merged by their mutual owners (tenex capital). John Simone had no roll after the merger. He did a decent job at link... Basically he did all that was really allowed of him.
Wrong. Read above.. Arnold technically doesn't own themselves. They are being tossed between USX and Tenex Capital -
Man you sure got them strait. Does it really matter? This isn't about link america its about USA trying to come out of the abyss. It may be too little too late so we shall see.

I was at the meeting when Cliff announced he was returning to the CFO position and introduced John. I didn't have time to shake his hand but he did seem like he could be an improvement over Cliff. I can only wish him the best at this point in time and stand back to see what happens.

There was much more to this post but it was editted because of the link. And it took for ever to get posted.

Remember John Simone and Ray Greer were the ones that drove Greatwide through a bankruptcy.. I would imagine this could be the thing going on here if USA has credit problems.. John wasn't good at greatwide.. good luck..123456 Thanks this.

They should have gotten Cliff out of there. He is the reason USA didn't recover with the rest of the trucking industry. Now that he has bosses telling him what to do hopefully if he does things in his old position that drive the company in the same downward direction they will show him the door.

It doesn't matter how many parties there are. They were bought out. I don't think anybody uses there real name.
