And besides, when you let him into you truck to check you graph as you said, you've now just given him consent to look for other plain sight violations inside your truck. Why would you want to do that?

 

They don't need your consent to climb into a company truck and check you out. Personal truck maybe.

 

that's funny.....I have been stopped 3 times in a year for level 3! NEVER asked for a fax! It takes TOO LONG! The 3 states I was checked, OH, CT, NC, even said it's a waste of time and paper to have them faxed! All 3 times they checked my last 8 day graphs and told to go about my way, drive safe. What do you know anyways? You don't RUN REAL ELOGS! Paid blogger!

Sarge, I've come to realize replying to those two is a waste of time. They have a personal agenda to try to make others look bad for whatever reason. I can understand why they need to run elogs with that kind of attitude. Level 3 three times in 1 year says a lot also. Must be the company they run for. I haven't had a level 3 in close to 2 years now or any other level. I have been asked to show my logs, but it's not a level anything unless they write a report.

That was it....then the "publicity" and word got out around the yard.

 

dang...you need to RE-READ my post, learn english! I was pulled BY ACCIDENT! They just let me go. But then again, they did check almost EVERYONE'S LOGS! There is a "quota" in NC for each officer to check logs. I believe it's 2-3 a month.
