What difference does it make what the FEDERAL government says if you are getting a STATE or MUNICIPAL citation? How do the Feds feel about you idling your truck all night?.... How does California feel? Do the Feds say you have to carry chains on your truck in winter?... Colorado will cite you if you don't.
My day cab ran around Phoenix for 5 years with limo tint (you couldnt see through it with your face pressed to it), got a level one at least 5 times. Never cited for it even tho it was a federal violation, AZ DPS doesnt care. That tint would have never made it through Banning.

It might hinge on the states not being able to make rules more restrictive than federal guidelines but you'd have a fight on your hands to prove it.

I use a 5% static cling limo tint on my cmv and I do not take it down I just roll my windows down when going through scales and I have not had any problems in 2 years. you can buy it at O'Reilly auto parts. it is made by Gila. -

I like tint, I have it on my tahoe in the rear and panel windows. But not in the front or forward door windows. Im very certain if I had a wad of money and drove that thing to Maryland, Im fixing to get a BUNCH of tickets with that thing. No ifs buts or maybes. The more I defend the position with the regulation book or not, the more those tickets will accumulate. -
my hands are two different ethnicity. the left one is brown. i should be able to tint my windows, what does it hurt? there are no IQ tests for a CDL, a dangerous would be no more dangerous behind window tint than they would without it. just less ugly.

I say dont give them a reason to pull you over and dont stand out for them to see something hell it's hard enough not being a target to begin with it's a excuse to stop you they know it and so do we it doesn't matter if you are right or wrong they always have their way and just what they want it takes money to fight it. It's all about money in our system today folks its who has the money to fight it to stay off their license. I know its crooked but it dont do any good to complain if no one stands up for what few rights we have left so I just take it and smile. Good day people and enjoy your arguments.
