Um ####### look it up. God i love the whiney little truckstop cowboys on the trucking sites
-
You look it up it is civil not criminal case. you rarely get a jury in civil cases unless you pay for the jury and have a lawyer. And more than likely this will be handled in small claims court . You are just ignorant about the justice system have no idea what you are talking about .

Also, if HE wasnt being paid by the shipper or whomever for said reason he would be calling after not having an email responded to. I suspect he was paid but might be looking for ways not to pay you......
-
I don't think the broker is pulling something OP said the broker called him after 2 weeks looking for BOL . He would not have called him looking for BOL he would just wait for OP to call him then give him a line about BOL .I guess ?

15 posts and nobody suggested calling the US Marshalls yet?

Call the shipper and ask for a copy of the bills. You might have to pay a small fee. I will not admit to how I know that.BigBadBill, volvodriver01, mp4694330 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Actually a packing list cannot serve as a BOL because it is not a uniformed standard bill of lading according the the North American Standard. One thing you have to do when talking with a broker is ask if they accept copies or original bills of lading. If copies, no problem, but if originals, then a packing list is definitely not acceptable. You have no recourse unless you can produce a signed BOL.
wideglide13 Thanks this. -
I hope you are joking about US Marshall's...there has already bin enough stupid suggestions lol
-
Wideglide i'm just done with your ignorance after this.
but small claims courts are STATE courts not federal. Now.. off to do your reading. -
What a dumb ### you are don't know the difference between civil and criminal .. no crime has bin done this is a contract dispute .. yes if you do a crime with a truck in intrastate commerce it goes to federal court because a federal law that is broken That is why you are confused and think this will go to federal court ..it wont ..again it is a civil matter no crime no federal court and if WILL more than likely go to small claims .. unless he is dope like you and wants to spend more on a lawyer file a bunch of paper work spend more than he will get lol
