There are still songs I can't listen to without waiting for the break in the middle.

 

My truck was still in the shop so I had to take 1 of our old ones up to Grand Forks for a 3 o'clock load. Got here just in time and there are 6 trucks in front of me and they're only using 1 dock. No food no music no computer no wifi no bed. I'm getting soft in my old age.

Pretty much. Somehow, I lucked out. Got to go to the front of the line. They must have taken pity on my hardship.

 

I had my bags all packed, food for a couple nights of staying at a motel, drove through this morning to find out exactly where it was, and how the streets might be (flat, 4 lane, etc). I got to work and was telling the dispatcher and boss about it, and they both told me not to even think about it because there was a good possibility I'd be there 2 or 3 days. They had a meeting with the Transportation Dept, and it was decided to close the entire building tomorrow, and cancel loads until Wednesday. I don't have to be back to work until Thursday, unless we don't get the big snow they are calling for. It was snowing pretty hard when I left work, but by the time I got home it wasn't doing anything. Now I get to unpack everything.

Was going to try to park at a Walmart nearby but decided to come check this TA out and found me a great pull in spot right on the first row and near the entrance... Saw the driver leaving the min I was arriving...



Saw a sign in the restaurant here... it says this is the first highway truck stop in America.... I am in OH...

Cleaned all the windows and mirrors but I heard it may rain early in the morning... I still gotta process... now 7 trips worth of paperwork so that I can send to company on my next opportunity. Cooked my warm meal and will be eating soon.
