some svs plaza in kansas on the 35. roads all the way up were ideal, dry and awesome.the winds suck tho.
i ended up waiting 4hrs at hd to redo my load and burnt my 14, no rework of the delivery times, was told to do a mac22 and they will monitor my truck.. ohhhkaaay, monitor me 800mi cause of yer screw up.. hmm, whatever.
drove till dark, and the temps hit below freezing, that and hunger got me. i stopped with 1hr left to drive, felt like going another 35mi to next svs plaza but why chance it when this place had one spot i could squeez into.
sent mac 22, got back a pta update and said id get to first stop 4hrs later than original dispatch.. my 70 is fried, been on roll off hours few days now, my 9hr roll off will just get me to my last stop, unless i hit some major issues..

Apple Valley, MN for some home time.

Got a pplan a few hours ago to pick up a load this evening. I guess the folks at Inver Grove didn't set my PTA as I requested.
They are usually very good about that.

I made some hamburger mixed up in potatoes for dinner. I've been craving that for the past few weeks.
(That's mashed potatoes with hamburger chunks mixed in. Top it with lot's of butter, some salt and pepper, and some peas and/or corn.)
Just good food, which I can't make in the truck.
Lilly, the dog, really loved her portion as well.

Tomorrow night I'm making chicken fried rice.
The next will be curry chicken.

I love a kitchen to cook in.
    Heaven.

took lowes 3.5 hrs to unload me and had no hours to get anywhere. all parking is not allowed between 10pm and 6am all around here. fortunately, manager let me camp out in their dock. waiting for them to open the dock gate so i can get out before my ten is over.

Yes something similar yesterday (about every day really), get a preplan, look at it and think to myself that is a little tight. Had one yesterday I moved the delivery to 2359, they pulled the load off then offered right back again so I moved the time to 2345 they removed it again and reoffered it. I sent a message asking what the delivery window is because I want the load, just want the option of a 10 hour break before delivery. Back and forth for a bit finally they told me 2200 is the end of the window, bingo I set the time on mac 9 to that and the load was assigned.

I'm having a harder time with the Swift system now because I believe as an independent contractor and business partner with Swift, I am entitled to the full pick up and delivery windows (if there are any) for the customers. In other words if Swift is saying the load needs to be delivered at this time but in reality it can deliver up to 12 hours later, they are in effect forcing me to run my truck the way they want it run, thereby making me their employee. In a true symbiotic business partnership all information is freely disclosed between the business partners for the benefit of both parties.

Ainsworth, IA. Sent a pplan, 40% mt, Plus 1, FCFS 24 hours a day, and they give me a window, up to 1400 and my PTA is 1000, and the dh was 180 miles, mostly up US-61 to Quad Cities, then I-80. No appt on the del. Haz-Mat load, 44k, with special instructions, placarded load but driver does not need HAZ-Mat endorsement. Of course, I refused. I am tired of all of these mt miles. Did a MAC 30, get offered 115 mt miles, 325 ldd. Nope, and a 1200 pu. two hours to get 115 miles. Thank you cross winds today and the rolling hills of IA, mpg went from 7 down to 6.1.
