I'm not scared. The rate that I got coming out here would let me comfortably run 800 miles empty if I needed to.

I use to be really grumpy a lot when I was with Swift. A person seems to get on edge really easy with all the micro managing. Glad I'm not there anymore.

At home (for the morning)...putting the "all done" touches on the new tractor. Drives nice, but a bit small in the sleeper...another adjustment to make, it is what it is I guess. Heading out for Kent, WA to make this trip just a little more relaxing....new truck systems take a bit to get accustomed to....low RPM's, "OnGuard System", extremely tight and short gear travel in the shift stick...that Pornstar I had, almost dislocated my shoulder to reach up to 8 (9 speed)...this one, about 3 inches from 8 to 9 (ten speed)...and now I must remember to sweep across to 6.....habits are hard to break!

I bet the urinals in the terminals have "Is this stop authorized?" stickers at eye level!:biggrin_2559:

Amazing how all these bright folks in trucking management fail to grasp the vicious circle they are creating. Simple psych, yet they don't seem to grasp that people you won't let think for themselves are soon dependent on you to do all their thinking. The workload for the DM's must be ridiculous, and getting worse by the day.

I'm home where I have been since 20:15ish Thursday. Spent most of Friday in bed. Still can't get my sinuses to turn completely off. Thursday was busy enough being the last day of the month that I don't think it will hurt TOO much to have missed Friday.

I believe that were I still OTR and felt like this I'd be in the midst of a 34 or more.
