Not to be outdone, at the same time in the same truckstop, THIS award-winner was returning to his truck with a Mickey Ds lunch....

I believe I need to start a "Shlub of the Day" thread....should be no shortage of material.....

I saw that at a Love's yesterday. Packed fuel island, and two d-bags parked BEHIND EMPTY PUMPS. They just stroll out, like nothing's wrong, and take their time pulling though and leaving. Also, there was plenty of parking close to the building.

This is another thing you never saw 8 or 10 years ago. It is now commonplace and, to many "drivers", acceptable behavior.

I normally try to find a space I can nose in and back out without a lot of problems when running my reefer but sometimes its not possible It works both ways you have to leave the spaces where reefer units can do this. Many of the drivers dont intentionally park next to you but when eyes get heavy I rather a driver park next to me with a noisey reefer that go out and kill himself or some one else. I understand the noise when I was pulling van I had a guy park next to me with 10" stacks and it sound like his engine was in the sleeper with me I just dropped my trailer and moved to the car lot I understood he need to keep warm. Been in this business long enough to know I need to be flexable and understand that there are two types of drivers good and bad and just because I run across a bad one I dont have to stoop to their level. Not defending the Stevens driver you are refering to but he may have been new to this and parking in what he though was the easies space to get into not realizing that his reefer will bother you

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Reefers never bothered me trying to sleep. It's just white noise. Try sleeping at home with 5 kids in the house when you gotta get up at 2am. Now you have something to complain about.

sometimes I have to get fuel but I have to venture to the girls room first...Something about the fuel flowing. If the driver in front of me at the fuel isle hasnt pulled forward then Ill hop out, mother nature doesnt wait.Im sure some of the guys have had to do that to.And with the weather now getting warmer I am one to shut my truck off and enjoy the quiet.when I did reefer and I had one that would lift the drives off the pavement everytime it started,I went nose in.Its just respecting the other drivers
