i thought you said in your post the mercer adjuster approved the repair for over the estimate you had?
and you still dont get what i am saying, when you breakdown and have a load it is your responsibility. if the driver that comes gets your load wont pull it for whats left on the load, or he asks for deadhead, you will end up paying whatever it costs for him to come get the load. in a case like that , just because the load pays 2.92 , it doesnt mean you are going to get 2.92 a mile to where you broke down.
and with all that high revenue you got , you should have had enough on the hip to get going.
and genius, did it ever occur to you that a cod on a load will be for the freight charges AND the material you are hauling?? or maybe even the balance of payment on the material.
so it paid GOOD until you thought it was 24000 dollar feight bill??? man oh man -
I don't understand why he didn't rent a truck to finish the load, but that would have made sense, and then he wouldn't have no one to blame.

Will Mercer allow a rental truck? I know LS will not as that truck would not have a valid contract with the company and would have to go through the same process as leasing on another truck.

I am regretting coming out here to Oklahoma city. Last month come out here and sit 2 days till finally took a lousy load to Tex.
This week got here for Mon 8am delivery and still haven't gotten anything profitable. All loads have as much deadhead as loaded miles with tarping. Yes they are over $2 mile but I do consider my deadhead some.Couple of could loads for Friday going to Connectict. But I would like to do better than 1700 for the whole week.
I'm not saying it's just mercer and I'm not looking elsewhere. Just commiting about the lack of freight here around OK. -
That is a good question, one worth finding out just in case. I would guess that it would be just a matter of faxing an appendix back and forth.SHC Thanks this.

I booked a load last week out of the SE coming right back into my little town here in IA. I have watched the board like a hawk since then, and nothing even remotely decent has hit the board up here, been like this for most of the winter tho. I knew I shouldn't have grabbed it, but it is what it is. I will probably end up bouncing to Chicago again like I did last week just to get moving again.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 13, 2013

With us, it would not be just an appendix. We would need a full pre-lease vehicle inspection, at a LS approved inspection facility, door signs, registration, etc.

But yes the area is bad for most carriers. My problem is not wanting to haul cheap cheap freight. I almost always get burned on really cheap freight. Then keep telling my self, I should;ve set it out till a decent one came along.

Atleast I got a large sleeper to enjoy it in. And the weather is great. Already got most the truck polished and starting to polish the trailer.
