I am trying to figure out the best companies to pursue once I graduate school. I just want to drive all over. The more days and miles the better. I have little to no need for hometime. I want to work for sharp people and learn a lot. Oh and make some money. I am thinking of CRST or Stevens? Any thoughts?

Check the idle policies of the companies. While you are on break you want to be comfortable. Don't go Schneider. Can't idle between 20 and 70 degrees. USA Truck has APU's with big inverters under bunk to handle all your power needs. I just didn't get allot of miles with them. Don't go by me though. Other people get miles with them. I think Stevens runs APU's. Not positive though. PAM does I think. Don't screw yourself out there. Make your comfort number one. You have to live in that little box. Ask them how they cool the truck while on your break.

Think about Roehl and Maverick. Both APU ,Maverick better pay. Miles are ok. Get your year in and better opportunities. Good luck

At CRST you'll be running team at some of the lowest pay around, .22cpm split.

you will better opportunities to make good money with tanker flatbed,flat can lead to oversize loads which pay good.

oversize loads pay better if your an o/o. company drivers make the same regardless. and with any luck. NO citations enroute. LOL.

No sir, I have never teamed and never will. Times have changed but in 2002 when I started with Schneider...2 weeks in the classroom/truck and two weeks with a training engineer. That's all you need. Be wary of long training periods, all they do is make the company money and waste your valuable time. Good luck with your travels.mje Thanks this.
