Not surprising that you have a hard time finding something worth doing in Western Iowa. It must be 400 miles to the Chicago CZ. How often do you have to bounce that far for a decent load?

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

The only time I bother to ask my coordinator how many trucks are in an area is if it is west of I-35, otherwise I am more than willing to do what most everyone else doesn't want to do or can't.
-
I have only had to do that twice so far, normally I bounce 150-200 miles to a decent paying customer to get me out. But this customer has been really slow this year.
-
But one nice thing is they haven't dropped the rates on us at all. And both times that I bounced to Chicago area was right at 600 miles, darn hard on overall per mile to the truck.
-
It always blows my mind that how poor rates are West of I-35. We are usually better to bounce to Waterloo than to haul junk from the Western half.SHC Thanks this.

Who's all going to the truck show and Mercer Party?
-
I only live a few miles from the terminal. I hope to be there to meet some of you guys. I want to know if a few of you are as dumb in person as you seem on the internet

Cat sdp Thanks this. -
