Try pulling Soldier Summit, Vail and the approaches to Eisenhower at 79,900 lbs... you can watch the fuel gage go down. Not so much on the unscenic and moron-infested 80. At Costco in Monrovia MD... gettin' my meat off in a hurry! ;)

BTDT. It's not Soldier, though; that's on 191 above Price. You're probably thinking about the San Rafael Swell just west of Green River. But on 80 you're going to pull Parley,The Sisters, Elk Mountain, Sherman; it's not like 80 is flat. It's also 60+ miles farther and much more windy, so overall there's minimal difference in fuel use. I'll give you that there's a limited selection of places to stop on 70, but to me, the trade is generally worth it.

In Amarillo, looks like I'm unlikely to get a flight out today, so Minneapolis tomorrow.

I'm still at this truck stop, about 40 mins west of Fargo, ND. Woke up this morning and after checking the weather and road news, decided not to leave. Called broker and asked to move this delivery and my next pick up for tomorrow. Sent numerous messages to my dsp since he is soooooooo swamped can't even answer the phone... QC kept shutting down every 10 mins and company had to send a hard reboot. Seems to be ok now. Weather is nasty here. Wind is soooo strong that I was having hard time walking... specially because of some ice on the ground. Broker haven't called yet... I am taking my 34.... DSP haven't said anything... I am shutdown due to weather and road conditions... Heard about semi jackknife on I-29, trucks stuck on ramps in Fargo... Had to shovel some snow around drive axle tires and trailer tires... there was a high pile of snow... Now I moved back and parked at a more clean ground. The mpt spot between those two trucks in front me is where I was before.

Hey rocks I'm just to the north of you at home in Winnipeg and we had a bit of snow overnight so I'm guessing we got a bit of the same system that came out of Montana and into ND the last two days. If you don't feel comfortable driving in the conditions then it's the right decision to stay we're you are.

Not only that I don't feel safe driving under this condition, my hours are not good at all.:biggrin_25512: Have only 6 hrs from my 70 today. I am 2 hrs from delivery. After that, would p/up another load nearby and take to Oh, but would be gaining only 6 more hrs at mid night and then would have to wait till 03/20 mid night to gain more hrs again and would be late for delivery in OH on 03/20 and then, would not have anything left to go park after that delivery... :biggrin_25513: Although I have been updating my dsp on my hrs, my recap and everything, I guess he didn't have time to check all that when he gave me those loads.... Well, not complaining, I know he is soooo busy nowadays... and he has been doing his best to keep me running hard.... I like him a lot.:yes2557:

E-logs must suck, but i guess you have to work within the system you operate under.
Im at home making a pot of soup and enjoying lazing around watching tv while my soup cooks.
Lately when I've been home I make a big pot of soup and put it in containers in the freezer, my girl is very busy with school at the moment so she just can take out a container and heat it up . Saves her time instead if cooking meals for herself when she's busy.
I have made pumpkin soup, red lentil soup, chicken curry, today I'm making a pot of beef and barley soup. I'm becoming quite the soup expert!

    I'm in weird....no, uh....strange....dang.....Peculiar, MO.

Delivered at Church and Dwight in Harrisonville a little bit ago. Pick up there again in the morning, head to Louisiana, drop that, pick up another about 30 miles away, and point myself toward McDonough, GA. Should get a load to SC from there, then home for four days.

During which time I get to work on prepping our former residence to become a rental.

Yeah....life gets easier after 50. Whoever wrote that must have also written the recruiting material to become a CRE lease op.
