Yes... I have put half bottle of FPPF in each tank... recommended by company.
Have right now 1/4 of fuel in my tanks. Will fuel tomorrow in Fargo, ND not far from here. Yes.... I am about to go under my blankets. Thermometer shows temp outside is 10F and it may get colder overnight. I think will leave engine on till I wake up. I don't think company will try to charge me for idling tonight. I must make sure this engine will start in the morning...Last edited: Mar 19, 2013

Just so you know, Rocks, it's a good idea to keep the tanks full when the temp drops down at night, condensation only occurs where air touches the inside of the tank, and there's a lot more surface area with empty tanks. 10* F isn't really all that cold, but something to remember when you're way up north. And yeah, I know the company likely restricts where and when you fuel.Logan76 Thanks this.

Hey Hammer166... came back just to fix that... I don't have 1/8, I have 1/4 of fuel in my tanks. Yes, company has very limited places where we can fuel.... specially in this area. My last available fuel stop was in Billings, MT and next will be Fargo...the only one in ND... Now I am going to bed, for sure....Hammer166 Thanks this.

Nothing quite like having to get up early and then waking up even EARLIER and not be able to get back to sleep.

Just seems like the normal course of events as u get older--ain't sayin UR old-but once I hit 50-I gave up on the going Back to sleep idea--was home few days--went to bed Sat am bout 1--5:05 laying there starin at ceiling--really??seriously??

And Rocks hope ur hearing what everyone is telling u only thing worse than layin there freezin is getting up and not being able to crank her up--and just another reason I want NO part of any of these NEW engines--my old cat returns a massive amount of warm fuel--and I still dope it--lol--and even with an APU--low teens is about it--she runs--but I sure miss climbing out and replacing crossover lines

Pack, As a landlord, I have learned the "1 thing" that you must know about rentals. Screen your tenants, Screen your tenants and Screen your tenants. The first time we rented to a fellow co-worker of my wife. I told her I thought it was a mistake, but it was actually her property whence we met. I also said I would never say, "I told you so."
Actually, I learned this lesson from my wife's Aunt Izzie and Uncle Dick. They are from the San Jose area and have become successful real estate investors by following the mantra, "buy and hold". They actually still own the first home they resided as a couple (after marriage) in 1945. It is a tiny home on a tiny lot, that was moved eons ago to expand San Jose's airport. Aunt Izzie has a radar that is impeccable about renters. Maybe that is a BS filter.
In any event, best of luck!

You can say I'm old. It's OK.

At least you can laugh about it. I haven't quite reached that stage of enlightenment yet.'olhand Thanks this. -
