Start Orientation today, it's kinda late but I'm also really nervous if I made the right decision on joining Arnold, reading all the posts on here about the company makes you wonder! Lol
As much of research and reading I have done I am very well aware that everyone starts and has to go thru the grinder and put their time in to advance to something better.
I just hope I get assigned a really cool trainer...
The other thing I am wondering is that I signed up for super regional but would that count as experience equal too otr?

    thanks

Yes, super regional is still OTR. The trainers here are hit and miss. Me and my student picked up in Tampa on Sunday. Another trainer/student rolled in, comes up to my door and says "i'll give you $20 to hit this #######". Just don't feel like you have to take crap from them. Request a new one if you feel uncomfortable.

Hey there CavScout, it's a starter company just as JB Hunt was for me in 1989 where I went to school DD214 in hand (USN Parachute Rigger 81-89). I did my year, then moved on. Are you Grand Prairie or Jax?

    Hey guys!
I am currently in Jacksonville Fl. for orientation, the orientation class is fairly small with only 8 guys.
Sitting and waiting for my medical exam.
I usually get along with everyone to a point, guess 10 years being in combat arms makes you immune too ppl, like said I hope I get a decent trainer so I can learn the ropes and be successful on my first trip alone.
I am for sure gonna try to stick this out for a couple years.
If I can be deployed to Iraq for 15 months and living in the Bradley with 4 other guys this should be a cake walk! Hopefully... Lol

After payroll posts tomorrow, my YTD mileage is 25,100. According to my notebook, at this time last year at LinkAmerica my mileage was 28,405. Basically, my bottom line, which is money, is down almost $1100 this year.

Dropped load at the now abandon Lexington Terminal. Had to go down the road to bills truckstop for our 34 since the terminals facilities are closed. Did 3300 miles since we left Florida on Sunday afternoon . I'm a happy camper as long as they keep students and loads on my truck.

Been out of orientation for 3days now, still waiting to get paired up with a trainer.
Kinda reminds me of the military... Hurry up and wait.
Have a question, I am a student and will be training with someone, besides bringing clothes for 3weeks what else would you guys recommend to bring with you?

Sadly, the Army is way more organized than Arnold. FWIW, Jax disp always seemed better organized and easier to reach on the phone than GP.
