It could have something to do with how much electronic equipment you keep running. With cold temps, and add to the cold, heavy drain from electronics....you could be sucking more power out of the battery group than you think.
or
You have one battery (or two) that are drawing from the others...weak battery will pull from a stronger battery.....get your batteries tested...separately...could be the issue.
Where are you

Ohhh Teddy_Bear... I didn't honk but I did shout your name a couple times as I was close to Kansas City... Was having a great time driving...
No traffic, beautiful moon, great music on the radio, singing along... I was having a party in the truck!!
But that heavy fog really sucks... And some idiot drivers turn their high beams on which makes it even more difficult to see ahead...

I agree with your statements. I wrote in my msg to breakdown manager, I have experienced this problem not only with this brandy new truck which had 4 new batteries put and electrical system checked 2 months ago but also two other trucks in the past. Today I had radio on and my portable stove plugged in... don't know how much power it consumes... In a few minutes will have to plug in my laptop... truck will remain parked for 28 more hrs and if battery starts beeping, will have to idle some, and specially if temp remains bellow freezing...Last edited: Apr 1, 2013

And you know... I have bought tap lights so I don't use the lights in this truck... Also bought a portable radio, so I wouldn't use the truck radio... But my radio didn't last long... cheap stuff from China... Whenever I can, I take my laptop to somewhere I can plug so I stay warm and save the truck battery. But there's nothing in this area... So, I have to stay in the truck this time...

Guess this means we aren't meeting here this morning for coffee. I'll be on the road in about an hour.
Hey, I'm a 4 wheeler AND a bear!!!
It's okay, Rocks. The moon has been gorgeous this past week. Hubby and I were both sure there would be fog here overnight Saturday, but there was none. I'm glad you made it through okay. Never did understand folks using high beams in fog, that makes trying to see even worse.
Have a great day, folks.Rocks Thanks this. -
Yes you are, but you're not a fool!
