a little on the depressed side this morning EATON?

we can sit as much as we want
but we can only get a new set of hours by way of a 34 once per week
is way i understand the new rule
with transam they like us dispatched onto a load
like waiting for the cow to die
and as long as we get it thier in time they are happy
they could care less if the load starts early enough for us to
    deliver early or travel liesuely

we really only hate covenant because we like rocks

teddy_bear6506, Rocks and Logan76 Thank this.

Jeez once I get to Sioux Falls I'll be taking a 34 I don't really need. Called a reserved a hotel room and plan to play in my hair and play my XBOX.

Better not move across the street to the PEElot... you'll still see 'em. Now the Love's on the other side of I69 doesn't have didley around it!
    Kinda sounds like truckin'! :biggrin_2559:
No kiddin'! It get's worse Eaton... only one reset with 168 hours between them. Each reset must include TWO periods between 0100 and 0500 on your home terminal's time zone. That can stretch those resets out to 53 hours (I think) if you happen to start one at an inopportune moment right after 1:01 AM. How's that for stickin' it to ya??!! (Assuming that the obligatory court case doesn't go against FMCSA, and their "mad mommas who hate truckers" associates.)

    :biggrin_25510:

It's not as big a deal as many make it out to be. You're getting an electronic log book, that keeps very close track of line 3... everything else is pretty much up to you. I'm not sure how Peoplenet does it, but QUALCOMM's product has us put a fax number into a particular screen, and the data is FAX'd from their server directly to whichever DOT flunky is raking us over the coals. I've only had two state cops want to see my logs since going electronic, and they wanted to look at a screen that directly indicated if I had available hours... nothing more.

    Rocks Thanks this.

YEP...July 1, one 34 reset every 8 days, and the reset must include two periods of 0100-0500. So if you start your reset too early or too late, it will be a 48 hour reset. Which actually will be sort or moot....2 goose eggs and just continue the "old fashioned" way by using "falling off" hours.

Bunch a hooey if ya ask me!:biggrin_25510:

It is not 168 hours between them. The 168 hours start at the beginning of your first reset, so you can take one every 7 days.

so if you still take off just 24 you get those hours back anyway
wont matter to guys like eaton that get weekends off anyway
and other companies that say weekends off but you better be ready to roll at 34.5 hours
now will give drivers 2 real days off

i rolled the dice and drove down to lima even thou the load isnt suppose to be ready until 2000 they said hang around we will have it by 1400
someone took a nice pill at proctor and gamble today

signs everywhere say go away truck drivers
