Not lazy but you show me a 14 foot wide parking spot in a truck stop, I had a oversize load on and we tend to try and stay away from rookie box draggers but they always find someone to run over.

Funniest hood trashing I ever saw-- at the Tacoma J, trucks are lined up around the perimeter of the lot waiting on someone to back in. This yahoo decides he's in a hurry (he can't see the backing truck, guess he figured all those other boys were just hanging out;) and cuts the inside of the loop. Now I'm against the street, maybe 3 spots from the scale, reading the paper, when I hear this horrendous noise. I look up to see this widget back up to disentangle, and drive off. He had hit the nose of a truck parked on his left one spot further over and across from me, and basically drug his trailer starting at the reefer tank about 15 foot along the front of this T800, because he was hauling ### at impact. I wrote down his trailer number as he left, and waited for the driver to show up, which in due course he did. He walked across in front of truck and did a dead stop in front of the left headlight when he realized what happened. After a brief moment or two, he started looking around to see if anyone was in the trucks nearby, and as his gaze came my way, I swung out to go talk to him. I handed him the trailer number, and he looked at me real strange, and I assured him it was the proper trailer number from his own company!

We tried to get the hood up to assess the damage, but no luck; the idiot had hit the radiator surround at a fairly shallow angle and wedged everything against the cowl. The driver headed back inside to make his phone call, and when he came back an hour or so later, he filled me in. The idiot who hit him had panicked, but wasn't smart enough to even leave the premises, as the victimized driver found him in the back corner of the little lot by the exit, studiously trying to act cool when the other approached the truck. Tried to deny, of course, but it's hard to deny red paint and a trailer number! We actually had a very good afternoon sitting in the shade killing time, and laughing at this fool who couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 foot in front of the parked tractors grill when his window passed by, and totally forgot to account for his trailer. which was only offset about 10 degrees of so from the tractor

Very ironic that this is the theme of the day. I'm at the Wilco Hess in Troutman, NC and started backing into a spot but they've got these concrete barriers sticking out of a few spots and I was getting too close to one so decided to abort and go grab a spot in the back row. As I'm setting up this guy comes around the corner and starts yelling at me, "What are we going to do about my fender!". There was no way I got close to anybody's fender so I back in and walk over to his truck and there is this long scratch over his wheel that has obviously been there a long time.

I walk over to his door and he sheepishly gets out of his truck and tells me he called his company and they told him the scratch was already there. I guess he's not real big on pre-trips.

When I was in graduate school our rugby club worked security for the concerts on campus and they would use our weight room as a dressing room. We had Stone Temple Pilots opening for Metallica and we were having our meeting before hand going over procedures and the lead singer for STP came walking in with his hair all spiked, etc. and the look on his face when he looked over at us was just priceless. He looked like he was a 14 year old kid that knew he just got caught doing something stupid by the guys who regularly beat him up and locked him in his locker.

Yes he is. Congrats on your raise!!

    Yep, it's Weidmaiers.
Dadgumit TB, should have banged on the truck. As long as you didn't say something that a LL would, I probably would have came out of the sleeper. I got woke up around 1am to the rain and thunder. Then there was a huge thunder clap. The only thing I can compare it to was a bomb. I've never heard thunder that loud before. I've heard plenty of bombs, and that's just what it sounded like. Finally went back to sleep around 2:30-3am, and didn't wake up again until around 5am. Couldn't move until 6am.

Well I finally left Weidmaiers at about 6:30, headed to Marysville. About half way across U36, the truck starts up with it's oil pressure warning bell and the check engine light again. Got dumped at Marysville, went to Frankfort, loaded the beans and headed south on K99 for Emporia. Was watching the radar all the way. Seems the freezing stuff was not too far west. I got lucky, just rain. After dumping at Bunge, I was to bounce back to New Market, so I made a swing into the company yard to fuel up, grab some more additive, wiper blades, and oil. I guess I made the mistake of telling the shop foreman what was happening with my truck, still. He called the boss and told him. My truck was to go back into the shop in Topeka on Friday, however since it's still acting up, they decided I best park it. So I had to drop my trailer in the cold rain, and unload my stuff so they can run it up there tomorrow. Guess I'm done for the week. Going to make for a small paycheck, oh well what can ya' do. Glad I'm frugal, and have some latitude, AND a terrific wife that makes a decent salary :biggrin_25525:.

So... I have 3/4 load of rejected meat. Rejected because it isn't pre-stacked on the trailer, because Costco lumpers "aren't lumpers." :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510: Spent all day at that (if I really say what I want to say, Ms BHW will be running wild with the banhammer) lousy Costco waiting on a plan... and here it is: show up at this place in BFE Jersey at 1800, and ask for "Victor," he'll get it reworked. Well, it's 1843 (been here a bit, stewing) and "Victor" ain't here. :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510: "Victor" and the crew don't get here until 2000. :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510: On top of that, I get to go back to that wunnerful Costco at 0600, to get rid of the nicely stacked product because lumpers don't lump at Costco. :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

Funny. That bunch of losers standing around with their thumbs up their rectums dressed in insulated overalls sure looked like loosin' lumpers.

Let's not even get into my truck is not happy, and no. 1 injectoritis is getting worse.

But it could be worse. At least I'm not stuck in American Siberia up there on I80 with Pete! :biggrin_25525:
