Just refueled there on my last day with JB Hunt as Intermodal. Hate that P-stop. Found out pump #23 has no enter button, so had to march inside to start the pump. Only need 75 gallons, but being local we try to leave the tank full for our counterparts....try to be as professional as possible, even if the pay is not as good as OTR. The folks here at JBH are great, but I am going the Natural foods route, delivering groceries. Still "stuck" at home....DARN!

Calgary , Alberta. Got my delivery done yesterday afternoon. It was raining and snowing in Calgary for an hour or so when I got into the city. Was not nice after coming up from sunny Arizona! Had a productive day yesterday. Started at 2:30am and drove 600 miles to deliver at 2:00pm. That's basically non-stop when you consider it's up through Montana into Canada. Not the quickest route to travel. Got my delivering done then got the truck straight in for an oil and all filters changed and chassis lube. Didn't have to wait just straight into the service bay, all done in under 30 mins. Three guys all over it had it done in no time at all and only cost $300. That's not too bad for Canada. At the Roadkill truck stop waiting to find a load to Saskatoon Sk. Then reset and point it back towards the warmer climates and head'er south again!

Nowadays all the holding patterns are on the ground! With fuel so high, they don't carry the fuel to hang around. Enough to make alternate on the other end and that's about it. If your destination having issues, you sit.

Our deal was a comedy of errors of another sort. Changed out a bad instrument, ground power out at the gate, so had to add fuel because the apu burned enough with the delay it put us below minimum. Then the computer in operations started spitting out gibberish so the pilot couldn't get the new weight/balance numbers. Then they used the form for the wrong airframe when they did manual calculations, and had to redo the numbers again. :banghead:

We were on the lookout for the Keystone Cops to come rushing in and snatch someone.:D

Shartlesville, PA at the Love's. Finish out in Enfield, CT at 1300 Sat., then down to New Milford, then south to Beech Island, SC. Might make it through the house the night of the 14th to have an anniversary dinner with wifey (our 7th is the 15th).

Now TP, you are just a driver. Please do think that you have any brains to make a decision, much LESS any authority to do so. Are you ready to jump yet?:biggrin_2556:

Hubby and I have been together for 25 years, and will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this year. Congrats to you and the wifey, Dear.

Sounds like the Pumpkin. I had a driver sitting less than a mile from Farris' T/S @ Faucett, Love's 7 miles away, and they made him sit for 3+ hours to get road service from KC.
