Ugh. I walked in the door at 20:05 last night. Dinner and by 21:05 I was in bed.
The DHL Lady emailed back that she got my resume. It ain't over until it's over.
It could really be that griping to dispatch helped. But I did do 9 delivery tickets yesterday which is as good as the two previous days combined! It was all SDV stuff. So the only way dispatch could have helped is by not putting another truck on it.
No morning run. So maybe I'll have time to sheet the tickets from yesterday.
Where are you

Ottawa IL... passed through Peru for a fuel stop a little while ago. Yup... the world is ending, new HOS rules.
But no! Wait!! The world ended in 1980 with the advent of the CDL!! And again in 2004 with the rules we're running under now!!
So how come the world is still here to end yet again? Funny, I'm making more now under elogs than I ever did on paper. -
you gonna still be there? -
When I finally got out of AB went north to Douglas and then 59 up to Gillette. Not sure if they closed 25 after I went through but 80 was closed and 25 wasn't good. On 59 at one point my driver side wiper was about 3" off the glass from all the ice but there was no place to pull over and too many vehicles behind me to do anything but keep driving. Did finally get to a wide spot and was able to pull over and knock it off. Got to Gillette and got stopped at the Port of Entry for being overweight. I had picked up 3500 lbs of ice between Ft. Collins and Gillette. Took 1.5 hours to pound off enough to get legal again.
Picked up about another 1000 lbs of ice driving through SD and stopped for the night east of Dickinson. Stopped in Bismark to get fuel and went to the truck wash to get all the ice off. After about 45 minutes I checked to see how they were doing and when I looked at the trailer airlines, saw that the service line was in 2 pieces with about 6" missing! The weight of the ice had caused the lines to drag on the ground and had ground the service line away. Sure explains why coming to the light on the off ramp it took more time to stop. Thank God it wasn't the emergency line.
Fortunately, there was a repair shop right around the corner.
I sure am ready for Spring.CertifiedSweetie and otherhalftw Thank this. -
