I don't see how. They don't have the infrastructure for tanking. It is a whole new ball game.

Besides, the trucks would have to idle. A tank truck requires being able to run the pump for the tank. They won't do that.
I just don't see it in a very big capacity.
They might hire one or two experienced tank people for a certain contract. That's all.

It has to do with the pulling of totes..starting next year anyone pulling totes over 119 gallons will need the tanker endorsement

That's interesting. I've always had tanker endorsement. I'll bet they don't want to pay more for us having it.

There are dedicated tanker runs avail in certain areas. There is one in my home town, if I stayed I would have done it. And I have seen USA trucks pulling tankers on 20 in South Carolina

They have dabbled in flatbed, refer, and tanker but I think it was just dedicated stuff. They do need to look towards getting some other types of freight though or pull out of the north east/east coast. All the freight over there is for refer or flatbed. Anything worth a crap that is.

And the correct answer isss...... good job century class, according to new DOT rules you must have a tanker endorsement to pull those totes in a dry van or on a flatbed.

I pull HAZMAT totes all the time without a tanker endorsement. I have also had several DOT inpections while hauling totes and passed all of them. It might be a new law that hasnt started yet.
