TA West in Ontario, CA.
Way too tight on this load.
Got off home time today, and had a wonderfull time.
Got a pplan that had a window to pick up until 1600 today, but it delivered at 2100 tonight (well, yesterday now) so I started my clock at 1030 this morning.
Preloaded with a live unload.
I get sent to Lathrop for an mt, but didn't see much in the empty trailer row. I found one way in the back, but when I tried to get assigned to it I was told it was in shop status. The window people told me that the mt's were along the back fence.
I had overlooked them because they were parked end to end, and they looked like they were not available.
I didn't want a 14 footer so I had to shuffle them around to get one.
Once I got to the shipper I had to park on the street for nearly an hour before getting waved in.
Hooked up to my load (a 14 footer, sigh) and headed out.
I ended up being 1.25 hours late for delivery, which turned out to be a drop. I was happy about that because I only had an hour left on my 14.
I headed for a Walmart that was listed in my RM as overnight parking OK. Turned out it wasn't.
So I ended up going 35 miles to the TA, and my 14 ran out 1 mile before my exit.
The QC went crazy with the log violation, of course.
I shut it up by editing out 10 minutes of my pre-trip time. -
Blommington, IL. What a hassle getting a load out of Memphis yesterday. Every pplan that they sent me, 90 mt to take ldd 180 for Sat morning del. Then sent another one, same load, with a back up, pu in KY and take to MD for Sunday morning.. DM told me, do not touch them whatsoever. Finally his boss got into the planning board, cut me a load that was sitting on the yard all day, take to IA, Family Dollar in IA, then drop down to stinky dog food and pu a load that will drop tomorrow 40 miles from the house, and then, well, you can guess.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Got a message yesterday asking us to log less time on line 4 lol. Sounds like somebody at Swift Trucking Company figured out more revenue is produced when truck drivers are on line 3 not on line 4.
Tcalled in Gary then did the greater Chicago mt trailer search for my next load. Arrived at shipper for live load with 3 hours left. May have to sneak over to a warehouse down the road that is up for lease ie, nobody home, nobody to kick me out of there.
