Well that didn't take as long as I thought it would......the reason I prefer the Petro on the north side to the T/A on the south side (Vegas).....ONE HOUR parked here at T/A and 2 lot lizards "want to make my day better"!!! The second one that asked that, then asked what she could do to make my day memorable...I said...."LEAVE!"




Back in Vegas after driving to Fontana, drop trailer, pick up this load that delivers to the Convention Center in the morning!

I tried to post on here this morning about yesterday. Now I can't remember yesterday!

Hi Lights of today:
Fight traffic to get over to I-10 West and Beltway 8 for a pallet.
Load 2929#, get almost to where I was gonna drop it and get sent back to the shipper for some docs for a different airline.
Not one but two deliveries today had not been booked on a flight. Idiots and Morons at SDV are using up MY oxygen on MY planet!

Have a rather strange morning thing. Pick up at a place I'd rather not go with 11:30 cutoff at airline. Followed almost immediately with "ready at 10:00" No door given for pick up where there are three possible. I THINK I already know where and that it will be Haz Mat. But sent a question that SHOULD get answered in the morning.

Sure as I don't leave at the regular time something will require me. And if I do I'm quite likely to be sitting at the dang truck stop until 10:00!!!

I do feel the love... Yep, I just got finished posting, got my stuff put up, getting ready to go load and Pete calls. Told me you all were worried about me.

Well hauled a load of salt to Dighton, and to my surprise I didn't see any snow until about Ness City, and that was just in some ditches from drifts. It was sunny, and got up to around 50 degs when we left Dighton. Headed back to Lyons, loaded more salt and headed for the other time zone again, yep Syracuse.

Currently camping at the GCTP (Garden City Travel Plaza). Won't be heading out until around 6am, because those DOT hwy workers don't come to work until 8:30.. Geesh, must be nice. Today we couldn't deliver until noon at Dighton's DOT yard. The only problem would be a locked door to the salt dome. I guess they're worried someone will steal the salt.

Most of our end-dumps have been running out west. If not they're running down to OK. Maybe next week we might get to run back to the KC area. For the most part I think our salt runs into KC are done. However we do load Haydite out of New Market, which puts us right smack into TB country. Right now though our trucks have been loading the haydite out of Marquette, KS. Depends alot on where it's going.

This weekend will be another busy one for me. First and foremost it's my sweetheart's b-day on Sunday. Secondly, but prior to that, we have a reunion on her side, on Saturday. When and if I get a minute I'll be back here, have to satisfy my addiction and keep tabs on all my truckin' friends!!!

 

I'm @ the house, leaving early in the AM for dayton Ohio then bringing it back to north of pittsburgh to unload and i'm done for the week
