I am in the garden spot.
New Brunswick, NJ. Only 7 trucks ahead of me. Eventually heading to Coldwater, MI. Decent 2900-mile week.
MIL has surgery today...got delayed from yesterday. Turns out she's got kidney issues as well. Nice to know that the doc she has been seeing for the last five years hasn't caught this. Her kidney issues are categorized as a Stage 4, or one stage from dialysis.
This has been rough on my wife. It's another reason I want to get the heck off the road soon, but I don't think that'll happen for a few years.
Where are you

Sorry to hear that, Pack. Is there anything that can be done for the kidneys before she gets to the last stage? In all honesty, I like my doctor, but anymore I don't think any of them really practice medicine. You tell them about what's bothering you, and rather than do any testing or check it out, they just hand you some pills. I've told my last 2 doctors I have severe bloating, I cannot lose weight no matter how little I eat or how much I exercise and the answer is always the same, you just need to do more exercise. I guess I could get divorced so I didn't worry about seeing if I see my husband, and I can spend that time exercising to possibly lose weight. I'm being a cynical beyatch today.
Seriously, Pack, prayers sent to your MIL, your wife and the entire family. I hope all goes well. ~Hugs~ -

The only time I had to park at GCTP, there were not many BS racks, I considered myself real lucky.
TB, did you call my dispatcher this morning? After delivering the wheat to Hanson-Mueller, I was promptly sent to New Market. Yep, Camden Point bridge is closed, so I used the Dearborn exit. Was up there around 11ish. Got delayed, another one of our driver's had problems with his tarp pole. It broke, so it took both of us to roll his tarp so he could get back to the shop. I did wave at ya' TB.. -

Did you miss the big escaped prisoner chase up I29? It was about 1030 or 1100; 2 out of 3 escaped convicts from Lansing led Hwy Patrol, Platte Co Sheriff and Police, Buchanan County Sheriff and Clinton Co Sheriff on a merry chase, exchanging gunfire and finally holing up in a house for a few hours before they surrendered. One of my drivers sent me a message to let me know he had just pulled over to let 16 LEO's have the hwy.
Only Route E/U will be completely closed, I29 will only be closed between 7 P.M. and 5 A.M.
No, I didn't have a chance to call your dispatcher today. i was busy playing dispatcher in our office and getting ready to be the same at 0 dark thirty Monday morning.
Pete, Darlin', you know I love ya and all, but when you come to town, you bring unusual weather events with you
We had planned to head down toward the Speedway area and do some home looking, but when gas jumped another .10 today, putting it up to $3.59/gallon, not sure if we will or not. It's gone up .50/gallon in approximately 2 weeks. I figure at this rate we'll be at $4.00/gallon by Memorial Day. That will take my average gas price from $460/month to $575/month. If we could get moved, we could probably make a house payment just on my gas savings. -
South Beloit Wisconsin I think.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2FloTheWaitress Thanks this. -
Troutdale, OR.....T/A 94* and humid......if I wanted a southern run, I wouldn't have!
-
After the RAIN let up today the sun came out. 110% Humidity is NO FUN!
Only 7 on a Friday. Not business as usual. Last stop at Air France Cargo. Then a box truck driver asked if I had cables. I was walking towards my truck when I heard SERIOUS air escaping. It was a valve stem on my best tire! It held up enough for me to drop the trailer and get over to a tire shop.
Rolled in home 20:15 and I ain't gonna be awake TOO much longer!
