    .

Scottie, it seems that all my problems are the steers. Now have 206K on the truck, and the drives are still good for lots more. The moral, watch what the T/A does. This all could have been avoided if they would have done their job correct in the first place. Well at least, 2 new Michelins on Monday and on the rear, still have the Bridgestones. While I am in the shop at IGH, I am going to have them go over the truck with a fine tooth comb.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

    Hi Steve,
    Hope she'll be OK.

I'm still in Gary, but my truck is finally out of the shop. PTA set for 0800 tomorrow.
I'm just hoping I don't get the load to hell that is waiting in the wings.
It's going to Long Island, NY. And it seems to be the only load out of here.

Dropped near Jackson Mississip late Saturday night, had next load lined up as picking up at the Jackson Petro but they pulled if off me. I had sent my empty call with no trailer picking up thinking all I would need to do is bobtail down there and get it but the load was removed for some reason. So then I had to grab the ratty trailer and take it to the Petro anyway because it had some mech issues, lost a couple other loads due to my hours dwindling down too much so did a quick 34 right there in the VIP pay for parking spot.

It was pretty interesting, while TT was in the shop Abby and I walked all around the truck stop seeing if there were any spots open at midnight there. About 3 or 4 other trucks circling like vultures looking desperately for spots too but no one wanted to pay to park. I paid for a spot while the truck was still in the shop there just in case. Just a few hours later security was banging on my door to get up and move it. I gave him the receipt and he walked it in to the cashier. I walked in a few minutes later to get some coffee, the same girl who took my money a few hours before was the one who called security on me-- ditzy girl lol

My mother has been in and out of ICU twice, but considering the nature of what happened (emergency surgery to correct an infecton that nearly killed her) and her age (turns 80 in July) she's doing OK.

    Thanks for your concern,

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Parked in front of my brother's place in Moses Lake, WA.

Had to buy 2 new steers yesterday then drove the truck 1/2 mile to an alignment shop to correct what killed my right steer. Turned out to just be a toe-in issue (was toe-out). That combined with with a bunch of miles on crowned 2-lane roads shredded my my right steer and was starting to seriously feather my left.

And my mystery Qualcom gremlins surfaced (again) on Sunday only to correct themselves (again) today.

Franklin, TN with a load going to WI.

I wasn't sure about accepting this load because the pick up time was so close to the end of my 14, and it was live load.
I decided to take it, figuring I could show up maybe an hour early. It was a 1700 appt. and my 14 ended at 1845.
Instead, I called the shipper at around 1430 and asked if I could pu early. She said sure, c'mon in.
I was loaded and back to the TA by 1645.

Two things, how often do you rotate your tires and how often do you do a 3 axle alignment? I try to do both right around every 60K ... I get about 160K on the steers and 300K on the drives.

Heading to Indianola for a live unload tomorrow evening.
