You don't have to have 20 years in to have done the super trucker thing, I did it. Yeah ungoverned trucks, 3 logs per day, 5 hours sleep a night, never see a toll road or scale...it's a charmed life. Thanks but no thanks. This is the 21st century, what is wrong with being comfortable while you work? I did my time in the salt mines working outside year round in scorching heat and freezing cold before I started driving. In my old job it was a treat to have to drive 45mins to a cemetery to install a headstone because I got paid for a hour and a half of doing no real work, just driving. I'll take my power windows, cruise control, A/C, and air ride cabs and enjoy them thank you very much. And still get the load delivered on time and undamaged.

Oh and I have worn my bluetooth (plantronics in ear) at home for hours after work because I just forgot it was there.

Some of you guys in here need to read the original post. He said nothing about a 'real' trucker (as implying that the rest of us were not real). He simply said trucker. There's a big difference. I'm not going to speculate as to the context he indented other to say that simply by his words he was not insinuating that the rest of us were not 'real' truckers.

I take insult being called a trucker, seasoned logistical relocation extraordinaire is my title.
