I am considering a new job , but they say might have to go to Canada . We know about passports , but if you travel with a small dog , how does one get the dog in & out of Canada ? What papers are required at Borders ??

Google "Bringing a dog into Canada".

Sounds like you have to have some papers issued by your vet BUT also pay a fee each time. Might not be feasible if you cross frequently.

All you need is the vaccination certificates by making sure that all the vaccinations are up to date and a license from your home city. Also I would get an ID type collar so if he/she gets loose, there is a way to get him/her back.
Never had to pay a fee. You are not taking them into Canada to live but as a tourist.Outlaw 13 Thanks this. -
you can get a passport for your pet
(just kidding, couldn t resist- sorry) -
Think about getting you dog micro-chipped, has all the information about your pet, on-line. Idtags are good but if you change phone numbers or adresses you have to get a new tag/collar. Micro-chip you just go on-line and change your info, plus if fido does get loose or worse stolen you can put that on the web-site.
