I don't see where I posted my next hometime? If you meant the 12 month thing, I was just referring to I would update this post after my year was up. But as for hometime, I stay out 5 weeks then go home for 5 days.

Anyways, I was on my way to deliver a load last night, and I get a message from training department on the qual. Apparantly, a trainer left his student behind at a truckstop, and was on a "hot" load, so he couldn't be bothered to turn around and pick up his student. How do you not notice that the other person who is supposed to be in your truck isn't there? the trainer saw the student get out of the truck with his shower bag when they stopped, so he knew the student had gone inside. Anyways, at least they gave me stop off pay for picking up the student, and it was at the same exit i was making my delivery to anyways, so worked out alright.

Now, they sent me to IP in North Carolina last night also to pick up a load going to Kansas City. Turns out after 10 hours of phone calls, that the load is up in Virginia at IP. We have some other loaded trailers here, so hoping they get me one of those. just playing the wait game now

Good to hear you are having a good experience at USA.I also drive for them so far have enjoyed it.I have a great FM who takes care of me.Never have to ask her for the extras she always takes care of it for me.Pretty frustrating weekend i was due home this coming Monday the 21st got a load going to Bentonville,Ar my truck started losing air pressure about 2 hrs into the trip yesterday called breakdown they sent someone out within 2 hrs.The knuckleheads they sent out put 3 Air Governors on still did not fix the problem finally at 5:30pm they decide to go get the tow truck and tow it to there shop mind you i had been broken down since 7:30am.Get the truck to the shop they decide to try one more governor no luck. Then they come to the conclusion that the compressor needs replaced guess what has to go to the International Dealer in Tulsa to get that fixed. So i called night dispatch told em i was due home Monday and was only 2 hrs from the house where i broke down said i would go ahead and go home instead of staying at motel in Tulsa while truck is worked on and would touch base with my FM on Monday they said they had no problem with that.December was a great month,so far January 2 out of the three weeks i have been out lost time due to mechanical issues hopefully will be able to finish the month strong

I just wanted to know what is USA's stance on things like televisions, satelite radios, and things of the such. Can you use inverters, or are add-ons a no-no? I hope to be on the road pretty soon and am just curious. Thanks.

cjoe, you're not required to have hazmat, even though they'll try to tell you you HAVE to have it. just take your time, then after a few months when you've made some money, pay the $94 or whatever it is, get it and USA will reimburse you. And inside your cab, you can have anything you want as long as it is not permanently attached to anything. and no inverters. nothing that can hook up to the battery

ok, so that IP load that i was supposed to pick up in NC that was in VA? after waiting 10 hours, they sent me down to SC to IP down there to pick up a load when I was at a location we had loaded trailers at already. oh well, loaded, empty, deadhead, it all pays the same so no biggie
