I am home as of a wee bit after 20:00. I got to where I was trying to take back some rejected Haz Mat at 16:48.... and was told there were no fork lift drivers to unload it.

So dadburn it, I had to drag the trailer home and back again in the morning. I'm gonna make some money off this even if it kills someone.

I really have no idea what all I did. Nothing really earth shaking for sure.

I took a tumble when I stepped off a pallet and then off the trailer. Don't seem to have broken any skin. Bet I will feel really swell in the morning!

    Be careful Dave...Hope you're ok.

Been a real easy week so far, able to be home every evening, actually darn near banker hours. Hauling rock or Man-Sand to Mcpherson, then salt back to Admire and/or Topeka. I've been home by 5pm. Yesterday I didn't get to leave until 8am. Truck was due for lube, and they replaced a couple of tires and brakes on my trailer. However was still home by 5.

Today, might be a repeat, I'll be heading back to Mac. I've been hauling to about the same place, but 2 different customers. They are only yards apart. One is Mcpherson County Hwy Dept, the other APAC's asphalt plant.

Something that is kinda strange and humorous, we haul 3/4" clean rock and 3/4" asphalt rock. However the only difference is who the customer is. It's the same rock, comes from the same pile of rocks, we just call it differently depending on the customer.

Anyone else notice that diesel cost less than gas again? Haven't seen this in a few years. For some reason gas shot up, but diesel has not. Gas is around $3.85-4.09 gal, while diesel has stayed around 3.65 gal, with some exceptions of it being a little over $4 gal.

    Rocks,
That mud-lot looked familiar, but don't think it's the one I was thinking about. Potholes, not big enough..:biggrin_2559:

Believe me, Eaton, I've noticed the price on gas :biggrin_25510: If it keeps on at this rate I'll have to quit my job because I can't afford gas to get there, or I'll have to live in my car for the week and come home on weekends. I might get a little ripe by the end of the week, but I'll fit right in with a couple of the drivers :biggrin_25523:

Is the wife beginning to wonder what to do with you being home every night? If the miles and pay are good, I hope they keep you on these bankers hours for a while.

Myself, it's time to head out the door and get another day under my skirt (don't wear belts). Friday it's just me in the office all afternoon so I want to get as much ahead as possible today. Next week we're supposed to get slammed pretty hard with deliveries because of the holiday. Each store has to get 2 deliveries in 4 days.

Time to go get my daily coffee. Catch y'all later. Keep it safe and have a grand day ~Hugs~

Thanks for the concern Eaton! So far this morning feels like most. Blurry eyes and a fuzzy brain. Need my coffee shot direct to the head! Physically it feels like I got away with it.....

Ft Worth... at the PEElot. Got all three deliveries down this morning... despite what El Stupido load planner had in mind. Like hanging out for another 24 hours. :biggrin_25523:

I am not a load planner, but apparently a few people seem to think my name should be El Stupido today. Personally, I believe I am the shock absorber for today.
