It has a lot to do with preference and load matches.
Should be a better system but so far not one at Mercer.
I wish we could set our preferences ourselfes.

As well as being able to see how many trucks are in the area and the history of outgoing freight.

guys you have to understand that the number you see you are on the laptop may not be exactly accurate. and then theres the wildcard of a guy in another that sees the load and decides to dh after it, if he had unloaded ahead of you , he gets it.

I always ask how many trucks in an area . I like this system better than any other, far better than Mason-Dixon where ya deal with agents directly, or the wild wild west of landstar where they is grab it first,

heres an example, few weeks ago I was in new caney,tx mercer guy trying to get home for daughters birthday, load hit the board after Louisville had closed, the agent said he had to call everyone else ahead of him, shortly my phone rang and I passed on the load so the guy could get home, he was next in line for it. I too sometimes feel as if I got rooked, but just as many times I get a 2.00 + load when I am number 30 it seems.

skateboardman hit the nail on the head, the system might not be perfect, but it sure as Hell beats any other out there.

Now go ask Mason Dixon guys, landstar guys, Malone guys and I bet they all say their system is set up better. :biggrin_25526:

Everyone has their own preferences and there just isn't a one size fits all system out there.

Is there any way to haul loads we find?

I'm a member on several forums and can haul cars, trucks, or used military vehicles. It would probably be a cash deal.

What do you mean by that Landstar's system is one of the best I see, you look for a load you see what you want you call and book it its that easy

so what your going to say next is "WHAT IF 20 trucks are dropping the same day same place" you should of ask more questions! I do military moves all the time soon as I book it going in I'm looking for what's coming out don't wait pre book a load drop reload and get back out!!!

what i mean by that is you are constantly checking load alerts, or having to constantly stay at the laptop or constantly calling. or dealing with the agents. and it dog eat dog, i myself like the fact we have some resemblance of order here
