Anybody else smell a wal mart driver.
-
Like I said, I am Very Lucky!!! I done that OTR for .34 a mile and my family and I struggled for along time. Yes I did work for Freymiller before I came to Wal Mart. So I do know... Be Safe...

The only thing I'll say about this is that, from April 29 to May 23, I drove 10,699 miles (3121 miles/wk average.) I can also say that my family and I are not struggling, and are treated well by Freymiller.
I don't know that 4200 miles can be done on elogs. I do know, however, that 3800 is definitely possible, but it requires running practically nonstop down to single digits every day. After about the 5th day, you are out of hours and need a restart.
I think $.34/mi is poor pay...but it's par for the course. I think company drivers should get paid at least $1.00/mile, but that will never happen. The bottom line is that you do the best that you can do for yourself and your family.Dinomite Thanks this. -
Well I think I've ran in to my first issue. Been here in nc since yesterday afternoon and they have me picking up a load going to ok tonight problem is I'm supposed to be home in florida today for home time. Dispatch said they were working on a swap but at this point if that happens, I'm not seeing home till maybe Saturday night or Sunday morning. Is this a common thing for Florida drivers? I'm trying to give them the benefit of a doubt seeing how things earlier in the week screwed up things a lot.
-
Oh and this I guess won't mean much but my last two paychecks which have been my first with freymiller have been a little over a thousand each after taxes and my miles have been over 3000 so far. Compared to the 600 dollars I was getting before, I'm not complaint.
Ps, dispatch is working with planers to get me rolling home. -
No it isn't common for them not to get you home ontime, but loads into Florida have been scarce this week. I was told on Monday that a lot of drivers are trying to get home for the holiday, and loads are slow for the same reason. Remember, I was supposed to be home on Wed...and I still wouldn't be home if I hadn't grabbed the bull by the horns and delivered my load 30 hours early. Another issue is that there are some new people in the office and things haven't been running so smoothly. They planned me on a load leaving today and delivering in Houston on Mon. It was thw 1st load I ever declined.
Keep you chin up. Freymiller is a good company.

Eh like I said, I know things are not normal right now at okc but it's good to know that info. It doesn't help that my dm is not in the office till Tuesday. We'll see I guess if they can't get me in this weekend to shoot for next and I'll take the extra day off.
