No, but I'm hoping it will be. I need to get back to work to make some money to give to the lawyer. :biggrin_2552:

If I could just pack everything it would not be so bad but not knowing yet what the future holds makes deciding what goes, what stays, what I won't need for a while and what I need to still have access to challenging.

Remember Zen, its not so much the end of things, but the opportunity to reinvent yourself. Hang in there dude!

I was watching those storms myself coming through Shreveport last night... all had evaporated by the time I got to Dallas.

Been there... up near Georgetown. It's pretty nice down where you're at too!

Out in my uncle's pasture in S. Dakota... nearest landline phone is 12 miles, no TV, only local radio (KILI... the voice of Pine Ridge) no cable, cell service is intermittent to crappy. Nothing like watching the dragon flies drying their wings in the early morning, with an eagle soaring above.

I hear ya brother. Trying to get back to Denver, and as close as I am today (requested arrival day) is Paul's Valley OK. Picking up in Elk City tonight, and will be in Denver on Monday. Make sure you have a real plan in place... not just working the load boards.

No plan EVER survives first contact with a moron at the other end of a phone line.

I haven't had things go according to plan for months!

I DID get the push mower started and got the stuff around the house mowed real nice!

So sorry, Pack. It's always nice to see you here, but if you were home where you had planned, we probably wouldn't see you, and that would be a good thing. The problem with the suits is that they don't care about the driver, but without you, where would they be? They never think about that.

The DBL for another dedicated account called me about 1515 yesterday afternoon to see how many drivers I had that could help them out this weekend. I told him all our drivers had already gone home. He said that's the problem with drivers these days; we let them determine when they will be gone and when/what loads they will take. He said that's something that needs to change and let the company decide when they will be home and when they will put the load and a paycheck ahead of everything else. Pissed me off. First off, why did you wait until the end of the day on a Friday before a long weekend? Why didn't you request extra help for this week? If I had sent drivers to help him out and they didn't make it back in time to deliver our Tuesday loads, what is he going to do to help us out?

Any of these shirts that think the driver has it easy and is doing a gravy job needs to get out there and do the work for a month. I doubt if many of them would make it a few days before they were whining and crying about life in the truck.

I've had this suspicion for a long time...but never a confirmation!

Truckers simply defined: Unshaven, unwashed, unclean bunch of slackers.

everyone must have the weekend off
    lot only 10% full
i really need to get off the flagstaff to LA run

and i know the first time is the hardest but after a while and a few houses later you realize if it dont fit in your pick up you dont need it anyway

i was consolidating one time selling a house on the outer banks of nc and a boat that was there
everything ended up back in nh
second wife counted up all the jeans and found there was 27 pair
so i said probably 5 more pair on the boat in gloucester
next day we went down to that boat and she counted 12 pair

i must have had a stage of buying was easier then washing :biggrin_25523:
