ty for thinking of me miss rocks finally got out of there at 2 am
made it as far as kingman az 300 miles and fell out
then the office called 3 times so i shut my elog and phone off
so i feel better now
and the new preplan has me in chicago friday
i can pu miss patty and we will go check out nj
patty hasnt been there in 18 months now

 

Home....til the morning, then deliver two miles from my house. THEN I'll go home until Sunday morning.

My new plans are already taking shape. I simply refuse to be a company driver any longer. No more "you will be out x days and be home x days". If I'm doin' well enough to take x+3 days off, I will.

These past 4 days have really opened my eyes to a few things. Not that I didn't know them before, but I've tended to be somewhat "understanding", shall we say.

No more.

At 52, I'm either going to sink or swim. I won't divulge plans now...no need to get another thread started of how this driver is brilliant or stupid. But I will do what works for me.

 

All right, I confess....I'm going to lease a truck at CRE. There. I said it.

I appreciate it. It'll be a bit until I formally make the move (unless of course they fire me for insubordination....but if they didn't during the last four days, I doubt they will), but the groundwork is being laid...plans are being formalized....the cats are roaming free.....
