Home. Made my delivery to the correctional institution two miles from home, then went to the t/s and waited for wifey to come get me. Gonna get fat and happy until Sunday morning.

My prayers go out to the wife and family, Eaton. As Pete stated, even knowing it's coming doesn't make it any easier. The best you can do is remind yourself that she will be in a much better place, with no more pain. ~Hugs to you and the family~

At a service plaza in PA. Ran only 236 miles today... I knew it.... Bad weather all day, traffic... And I am not rushing. :biggrin_25512: Will have my supper and go to bed. Gotta get up at 3:40 or so.

Eaton, prayers to you and your family. Like Teddy_bear said, she will be in a much better place, no more pain, no more suffering. Bless you all.

    Eaton18 Thanks this.

Maybe when things get settled in San Diego, Patty can fly somewhere close to where you will be, and she can hop in with you then.

I'm saying a prayer for Eaton that he is somewhere safe tonight. We have tornadoes in the area, and several severe thunderstorm watches and warnings.

    Eaton18 Thanks this.

You dang betcha my trucking buddies get mentioned in prayers!
I COULD have posted from South Wayside just off Beltway 8 South where I picked up 1396# (dispatch said 800# but when weighed at SDV 1396# came up)
I COULD have posted from Galveston where I took 2260# from Just off Imperial Drive and Beltway 8 North with some Haz Mat in it to up the $ to me!
And I could have posted while I grumbled that the one they told me about this morning was 2 pieces at 736# but when they sent it this afternoon it was 1 piece at 378#

So only three deliveries today but a little weight and some distance so it should pay ok.

Rolled in 17:55ish to have take out Mexican food and the season ender of Blue Bloods.

    Eaton18 and teddy_bear6506 Thank this.

Still at coachella ca. Got to work early this morning on polishing my truck. I got the fuel tanks and all the metal parts on the drivers side done and then got the grill sorround shining. By then it was getting hot so I went in for lunch and came back and got started on the passenger side but it was getting too hot in the sun so I started on the inside of the truck cleaning. Then got a call saying the receiver wouldn't be receiving tommorow and could I deliver today. No problem I can do that ( luckily I hadn't got any beers to drink at this point otherwise it would have been a problem!) it's only ten minutes down the road. So went and got that taken care of and came back to coachella so I can get some fuel in the morning when my "reset" is done. Gotta load somewheres tomorrow but no idea where just yet.Lucky for paper logs hey??!!

Unless of course you are forced to log load and unload as it happens (right in the middle of a reset???)
